Luis Figo has opted to retire from the beautiful game, after Inter won the Serie A following AC Milan’s 2-1 loss to Udinese.
Figo was initially keen to retire last season after disagreements with former coach Roberto Mancini but Jose Mourinho convinced the veteran winger to stay on at the club for another campaign.
The 36-year-old war horse has now decided to begin another chapter of his life after an illustrious 20-year career the night Inter won their 17th overall Scudetto.
"This is the first time I am champion without playing," he told A BOLA. "This is the best way to end."

I never say Figo no clubs want hor I say Figo retire to give others a chance, perhaps he will go to those club that is not so stressful.....
Figo 35 liao and with each passing year he becomes slower and has less stamina to play through the whole season.. He should hang up his boots while he still has a good reputation.
BEIJING - Former World Player of the Year Luis Figo wants to extend his career outside Europe and would consider playing in the Chinese Super League (CSL), a Chinese newspaper reported on Thursday.
The Portugal midfielder announced his retirement from "high level" football after helping Inter Milan to a fourth successive Serie A title last weekend.
"I am still waiting for the calls from outside Europe, from U.S. or Japan," the 36-year-old told the Chinese sports newspaper Titan Sports.
"I am also happy to accept recruitment offers from CSL clubs," he added.
Unlike Japan, the Arabian Gulf and the U.S., Chinese football has not frequently attracted big name players looking to play out their careers.
Former Italian international and AS Roma midfielder Damiano Tommasi currently plays for Tianjin Teda, while former England midfielder Paul Gascoigne had a few months at Chinese second flight club Gansu Tianma in 2003.

I wonder what would happen if he were to play in S-League. Would he be the richest S-League player? I think he would just thrash all the other players...
