  If I am not wrong, her annual package last reported is 1.85 million, but not sure did it cover stock options or not.

  sure offer her stock options lar. 1.85 million for 10 years, so she has already pocketed 18.5 millions in her 10 years there, excluding stock options and other perks.

  who? if she cant do a good job there, sorry she has to go. u cant have a mediocre person taking the helm of a big company and the job is beyond that person.

  just like in the corporate world, CEO's are often sacked for their inability to either bring in more revenue or turn around the company. its time for her to step down after 10 years. maybe she can rejoin retail after her stint with SMRT finished.

  I think she did make good profit for the company, she is good at getting our elites to keep increasing the fare. But actually if u see from the view point of the Shareholder, then it dun really award them, base on the couple yrs, there no div increase for the shareholder. So my guess is that the increase of profit is use to award her "excellent performance". But guess nothing much can be done as she is bless and protected by a higher immortal.

  She is a good example of crony benefitting from MIW.   Reaping profits by sucking blood from Singaporeans, shake my head!   You want authority and lots of money rub shoulders with MIW.

  she will be remembered as the CEO whose trains broke down more often than not and the other is retail for retail shops in most MRT stations.

  SMRT CEO Saw Phaik Hwa resigns

  SINGAPORE: SMRT CEO Saw Phaik Hwa, 57, has resigned, according to an SMRT filing with SGX.

  Her resignation comes less than a month after two major breakdowns in SMRT-operated train services.
  
  Ms Saw stepped down as president and CEO of SMRT with immediate effect "to pursue personal interests", according to the filing.
  
  SMRT has appointed 63-year-old Tan Ek Kia, a board director, as interim CEO.
