I WAS dismayed to read about American skin-care brand Kiehl outlet's appalling treatment of its pregnant employee ('Fewer pregnant women fired'; Monday).
The company's vague response appears devoid of regret. How long does the company need to 'identify and better understand the cause of this abnormality'?
It should have reinstated the employee with back pay and offered a proper apology.
