Pool state liao, security guard... Sit there, most of the time can sleep, sometimes walk around a bit, open gate, close gate.
One young guy i know near my place work as porter at hospital, send document here and there, send blood, medication, sometimes bring bodies down to mortuary..
Every document/blood/bodies considered one trip, $5 p/hr plus "trip" commission. No need drive just walk here and there within hospital premise, some days he earn more then me.. LoL
Oh btw, i use to drive 16hrs a day 7 days a week as onsite IT tech, one man cover nearly 300 locations islandwide i thought drive taxi 10-12hrs should not be chicken feet...
But now i think differently....

end it lah , we simply choose wat we wanna do , if cannot then dun wk lor . or can i say those wanna earn alot , interview go where lah wait for call lah go rob bank faster or can be minister . we wk and we simply dun nid criticism . or 1st , go tell his premier chinaman td yno nid ns come here take citizen then drive taxi .

Ya I agree. Driver taxi is better then those delivery. Need to find loading unloading bay. Rush here and there. Still need to load/unload goods. Drive taxi the move do some house removal once a while nia. See mood lah....

Security guards not all can idle one. You go Hougang Mall see the security guard all wear vest and tie like Chrysler driver stand there whole day sian sian one....Lol

This has already been said in other thread (Professions of our TDs before joining). Our members come from all walks engineer, casket driver, army, bus, delvy, no minister (yet) ... but since joined we are in same boat for the time being and may need help/support from each other.. Don't think anybody criticising just saying what they think.. -

mm clicked save reply and the msg jus disappears. shorter version of what disappeared. collect vehicle in the afternoon, play hide and seek with ah toh for 2 hours, he lose and let me get the vehicle. buy season parking, coupon, top up cashcard, petrol 40 dollars, cng 22kg. was thinking if 2.0 wish has a 28kg cylinder. pump attendent ah neh teach everything on what to do there. issued me a card for 5 dollars. on to the washing, 8.50 package. dettol, drying, vacuum ok. the washing part for daily wash is good i guess, but not for cars tht have been parked for too long. drive up to fajar rd to see baby daughter who is visiting grannie with wife. few days bo see. travel back, park vehicle and pack the interior. going through the mdt, f3 meter, and the vx680 cashless machine. thts about all for a rental free day. * edited post to seperate the paragraphs again

frightening saturday afternoon. 4pm warm up sweeping, first pax after 20 mins. after that empty car for more than an hour. 6pm meet up parents for a short coffee break. night onwards practice tampines simei punggol geylang east area. manage to pick up more paxes. ok truth is i brought something u guys hate. a gps ! garmin nuvi 40LM and a nexus 7 google map tablet rubber banded to the 2 din radio slot. one for bigger area reference, one for direction if gps is needed. didnt really have much time to see the 7 inch map or use the gps. only use once cause a pax is drunk. the rest pax rather guide me than let me use gps. 3am ate 8 dollars bak kut teh at joo ciat. hope roads will be lined with paxes on sunday. queuing snatching cabs like robinson sales

bro lim, i hv same problem. .sometimes type type type click save reply..then msg all disappear..give up...lol. maybe there's time limit.too long disappear..may forum lao jiaos can enlighten... sun biz can be a bit better cos of church goers in morning. .grocery shopping..etc..depends also. so u omo but start 4pm? so doing mainly night?

i also use to work as security guard ,u gotta stand whole day there esp shopping complex and for 12 hours!leg also pain!and no off days on Sat,Sun or PH!gotta do clocking,esp if big shopping complexes have more than 200 clocking points!u walk until leg also tired!but that time one colleague former TD!another security guard become TD!so TD and security guards can interchange jobs!

Nah, I still think they are clowns, especially the on the ball ones. Wanna be on the ball, join a proper uniform agency that at least gives you a gun to carry.

Pls appreciate the advices given by seniors here... You never know, one day u may jolly well need it. Pls be humble n the willingness to learn as what u will be encountering with pax OTR as a new cabby.
Khoon and many seniors couldn't be surviving for so long OTR n in the forum sharing their experiences if they don't have some standards. As a newbie, I consider lucky n fortunate to learn some valuable surviving skills from them over the past months.
