If you prowl the street for business, the rule is nothing to you.
For those who only queue at strategic location for customer, then you need to worry about your mileage.
It is a policy to flush out the over-rested taxi drivers.

So next time queue less at airport to ply more on the road to hit 250km target?
Then next time implement minimum must visit airport once or twice a day?
What a shit implementation. They dont care the safety of driver n passenger, just want to make the figure look nice.

Everyday force you to drive from Pasir Ris to Jurong then to Woodlands and then back to Marina Bay.
Is that enough for 250 km?
If not, repeat cycle again.

Taxi driving supposed to be own business mah! As long as you pay rent, how you work your problem loh! Taxi driver cannot fall sick meh! Taxi driver cannot take holiday meh!
From next year, TDs' can pick pax anywhere in CBD with the "Excepts" stated in the article. They have fogotten about their ERP charge. Remove the ERP charge for taxis and Taxis will go anywhere they can.
Just remember this. Taxi Drivers are Businessmen. You said this. Not I. If got ERP, GRP, ECP or whatever, business minded taxi driver will calculate his costs and decide whether it is worthwhile or not.
Now those who never driven taxis before come out with a 250km rule. lol! When I was driving for CDG as a relief!! I used to drive around 200km++ already! from 6pm to 6 am.
Big question. How much I make. Truth is I only make about $20 to $50 after paying of rental and diesel. In the 3 months I worked as a taxi driver, I made a loss on 3 nights as I could not cover my costs. My cost per night is $50 for taxi and $25 to $40 for diesel. WhenI got terminated, it was a blessing in disguise for me.

The problem starts when people who have never driven taxis! are trying to solve the problem.

it doesn't concerned me too much. . . cos my hirer one person good enuf to cover for my mileage . . i still drive as normal .
but after this implementation , it's good when i interview pax , if too near , then i will tell them :" sorry too short trip , cannot meet my milegae , sorry take those taxis which they had already hit quota .LTA law "

You should have know them inside out for having live here all your life.
Those papaya are proud people. They won't listen to mortals TD like us. Even if we are able to come out with very effective solutions, they will alter a bit here and there and called it their solutions taking all credits to themselves.

I am confused. What is the relation between poolman and papaya?
Pool waits for durians to drop.
I pick up grapes anywhere. 3 grapes complained against me and I got terminated by CDG. Is it possible that some grapes are papayas in disguise?
I am a new taxi driver. I really don't know how to differenciate between a durian, papaya and a grape I treat everyone as a grape. Grapes complained about me and I got terminated.

their purpose is not to make money.
