If you OMO, clocking 350km on a sonata, your daily cost is
rental $101 , fuel cost abt $36 (350 / 11 x S1.14) assumming FC for sonata is 11km / ltr
so total cost for running a sonata daily is abt $137
If you take i40,
rental $120, fuel cost abt $26 (350 / 15 x $1.14) assumming FC for i40 is avg 15km / ltr
so total cost for running a i40 daily is abt $146
But flag down for i40 is $3.50 , assuming you did abt 30 trips ,some peak, some normal , you would have got abt $10 extra just taking advantage of the increased flag down ...

you did not know camry went back workshop few time after OTR? my i30 (korean made) day 1 till now (more than a year) so far nothing happen, just normal servicing wear and tear

Sometime you have been wondering, why TD zooming here and there like no tomorrow..........many think because got turbo, good to chiong...........in actual fact, most time, they are still piaking the rental & diesel..............have not break even, automatically one will feel frustrated and keep flooring the accelerator...............

The i40 sedan’s boot has a 505-litre capacity, 18 litres less than the i45 but surprisingly just one litre less than the i40 Tourer.
While the i45 (known as Sonata in some overseas countries) was designed to appeal to the North American market, the i40 was styled in Germany as a “modern premium mid-size sedan” for the European market.

The 1.7-litre diesel engine generates 100kW between 2000-2500rpm and 320Nm of torque between the same rev range (330Nm with the manual). The diesel manual is rated at 4.7L/100km combined while the auto ranges from 5.6-6.0L/100km.
Standard features in the i40 Active include 16-inch alloy wheels with full-size spare wheel, automatic headlights with daytime running lights, front and rear parking sensors, hill-start assist, electric park brake, cruise control with speed limiter, and an audio system with AUX/USB ports and Bluetooth phone connectivity with audio streaming.
The standard safety package across the i40 sedan range includes nine airbags (dual front, front-side, rear-side, curtains, and driver’s knee) and electronic stability control, earning the maximum five-star safety rating from ANCAP.

Specs looks good for standard features, wat I like' ESP, airbags, cruise control and electric parking brakes. $120/pop sounds a little steep compared to current rate regardless of better FC, will definitely consider if rental is abt $110.
