Bro, there are lots of asshole pax (customers) out there. Especially if you drive night.
I ever pick up 3 pax. 1 very drunk, sit in front, two not so drunk sit behind. Very drunk never tell me destination but giving me directions. Tell me go straight first. I drove. Then they talk among themselves. I drove very slowly. Then they say I miss a turn and not happy and accuse me of cheating. In my mind, I just want to drop of these drunks and move on. Did I tell this to CDG? NO! I was not given a chance.
Anyway, I am no longer a Taxi Driver.

I got drunk ang moh ask me go london, then wind down window F and spit other cabs and pedestrian, i just drive only..
I also get my fair share of asshole pax, every cab driver also sure face one.

One of the reason why i never join CDG when i got my licence, cos i know just start especially if OMO sure kena lots of complain. I drive night and day, but this past week my timing screwed up one cos i got 3 other small business to run..

I watched your video. When driving Night, I face lots of such cases. I respond the way you do.I undertand the stress. Sometimes I just want to drop them anywhere without collecting anything. Does CDG know about this?

Even before you join CDG, their drivers already face such problem. I'm sure you read before here, it's CDG style. They got too many drivers waiting in line, even if you tell all your story to them that also won't bother. Those join TC or other company also many got boot from CDG. Sometimes I hear their story when I go servicing also scared. Night actually not that bad, cos usually send back to housing estate, those in morning going to work and late are worse, everything you do also wrong.Night pax that tend to give problems are drunk, those seldom complain actually. Those like complain is those between 5-8pm, cos usually they bad mood cos wait 30-45min for cab.
Ladies standard ah, time of the month mood swing one, those middle age (30s-50s) ladies also complain queen, purposely wanna find trouble one.

If i were you i'd give myself another chance and join another company. Its not like CDG only company out there, and i think u still within 6months since u got TDVL still can get back the TDVL course fee if u join other company.
But if u think only with CDG u can survive as a TD, because of their calls and popularity, then i wish u all the best in whatever u do.

Yahlah bro tat time also i want to go by pioneer but the guy say pls go by corporation...i say no problem...sometimes some prefer route which they feel comfortable and aware hence feeling of secure and safe though on longer route....for me no problem as long they pay..

No, I dun think taxi driving is stressful. On the contrary, I find it a tedious, boring thing to do with NO challenges!
What so difficult, driving from pt a to b? If any tom dick and harry can do it, why can't you??
There are only 3 things you need as a TD:
1. Routes knowledge (so hv to be humble till you master them)
2. Safe driving (always safety first and you'll always be right, not wrong)
2. Ego control (rein in yr ego, keep quiet even if you are angry. Unless pax is so unreasonable but then always remember you are 100% accountable for yr actions as a TD).
I had been in the SAF, taken orders and later giving out orders, slapping and kicking juniors/subordinates around, commenting, criticising and correcting mistakes in both military and later civilian business (family biz) and jobs.
Imagine the culture shock I encountered when I had to start driving taxi. For a few dollars, turn left, right, straight all the way, then halfway...stopppppppp!!
So I think you hv to come to terms with yr own ego. Taxi driving is yr own business but with the corresponding terms and conditions.

For me as im just a weekend taxi drivers...i find it better if i set target for myself and going abt achieving it and feel happy if i did it or else acess if i setting to high a par...
i used to spend every weekends outings minimum 100 bucks but no longer after i kena how hard at times to get that 3.4 plus peak charges when there is no pax...so in way show me the lights lol
So different ppl have different mindsets when driving...some drives cause of financial requirment ...some drive but never check EGO always think they are correct and keep saying others are worng...some drive with low expectations that is as long get 50 bucks ok liao..so many td with different views on how they want to drive or expect from driving their taxis....but one thing for sure all wanna get as high cash as possible in the least amount of time or work...

Seeing all these problems with cdg for new td, I'm thankful I took smrt a year ago. 6 months hirer, now relief. no complaints yet.

I used to be a prison officer and was posted in a max security prison after my training..
i was awarded best tactical excellence in my squad
I've handled hardcore, psychiatric, mentally unstable inmates during my stint at changi for 2 years...
now im back to private sector..

Termination is nothing, just a cease of contract only mah, we are never an employee of any company, just a leaser and hirer relationship, cdg did not terminate you, they just terminate the contract. Take it easy
If you take it the other way round, like last time I told my former bad casket woman boss infront of her after all her kpkb on me..
I sack your company, then walk off steady steady.
So take it as you terminate cdg or sack cdg, then you will feel better and carrying on to work for other Taxis company, but if you got better job, then give up taxis driving, then after no more driving taxis, you can come to this forum and disturb others like what Rbs and JDI are doing..
Life is like this one lah, it can be also be a blessing in disguise, without the termination of the contract, you might have to slough for cdg further, now that you are free, it can be a blessing that some good job are waiting for you, and you find yourself happier and healthier without TD.
Years of driving taxis can make you a frog in a well.

Most important knowledge for taxi drivers is route knowledge. Most experienced taxi drivers have GPS implanted in their brain. Pool is one of them.
I have poor route knowledge. I must use GPS. There were occasions when I even never collect anything because I cannot send pax to their destination.
Taxi driving is stressfull if you are in my shoes. I had no culture shock collecting few dollars for a few turns. I left my ego at home when I was driving taxi. Problem starts when I pick up customers with ego.
So you are suggesting that CDG was right in terminating me for taking the wrong routes based on passenger complaints!

I take wrong routes by following passenger directions. Passenger still complains. My case should be more severe.
Experienced complainers will know complaining to LTA is better.
Singapore media say Taxi Drivers can earn 7k a month easily.
CDG Limo Comfort Driver can earns 6k (Six thousand Singapore dollars) every month.

i can be master of the route now , but when i was rookie , i also put an effort to learn . . . not born with those extraordinary skills in mastering those routes and landmark . When i made a mistake , i learnt . . . take less fom.pax , sorry to.pax . give discount as a punishment for making the mistakes , and make sure no next time cos i will lose out giving that discount again .

u can be going thru the correct route , but if u say something wrong or making comments pax listen liao buay song , that can also land you in hot soup as well .

Taxi driving had been tough ever since the restructure of fares, commuters behavior change, empty Taxi had been increase on the road, waiting time is getting longer, and LTA is still increasing the Taxi population..............
Yes, we still have some great time, but it unable to offset the damage on off peak........ cdg will soon require FT to be in the picture.
The $7000 recruitment excercise is here for a reason.... standby with pop corn and coke for the show to begin.
