So the truth was one Indian tambee out there just got the boot one day before Deepavali Day , that's the truth .

U call yourself CDG driver ? hahahahah , yellow top uncle type of CDG driver .
Ya lor, old habits die hard. But so far so good, but I'm prepared for the consequences of my actions.
But if I take call, then bo pian must take cashless.
But why worry abt complaints, let the complaint come then I decide to comply, adjust or f care and wait for the red card.
But of course I won't let a simple complaint jalan, must hv substance and will make a big issue if I feel the investigation is unfair or improperly done.
But as you said once, best thing drive CDG is act blur. Kena complaint also act blur, say cannot see properly, got so many excuse to make.
But to avoid complaint must kao tim with pax first, you must not give make excuse to complaint suka suka. You explain nicely and be reasonable no complaint will follow.

That's the fucked up thing abt them. If me, I surely will go see or write to the PAP NTUC MPs and ask them where is the sensitivity and common-sense?
Wanna terminate cannot wait after Deepavalli. Talk about customer service, talk abt being No 2 in the world, etc etc, common sense thing like this must teach?

The only reason I drive for them is the convenience - more hirers to choose from and I stay close to sin ming. And I like my 2 current hirers - both very cincai and they are prepared to do the topping up and washing - saves a lot of hassle.
But I was seriously thinking of going Beach Rd or switching - an option that is there.
Plus my dislike of CDG's style remains constant, it's very possible 1 day either they will piss me off so much or I will fuck a pax good and proper that leads to a parting of ways.
No Big deal. To borrow a phrase from the $7k driver - 'the taxi is a cash machine" not a 7k machine like his, all I need is a cab to drive to earn my salary, doesn't matter which company it belongs to.
Got no cab or license then big problem, gotta become normal worker again.
u should go beach toad , thats the best option. Anyway u have been 'seriously' thinking since many mths ago coz i rem u posted something abt beach road.
Why wait?

Its going to be a war zone out there , pax will be calling for blood at the very slightest mistake made by TD.
Good news for me coz this will help get rid of the mickey mouses and cowboys.
Can spot a few in here already.
So Just Quit , bestest advice
totally agree with u bro~~~~
y so many mickey mouse n cowboy drivers nowadays??

ok lah , CDG gave a pre-prepared termination letter , at the meantime he still can drive , after Deepavali Day then see which auspicious day to terminate him officially .....
knn ..... another fuck thing , why chose a day before Deepavali Day to interview him and tell him he was sack ?
Ya lor , cannot Wednesday ?
Indian name bluff one ?
Coming back to me:
If CDG got wind of my patterns long time already kena sack.
Let's see my wrong doings:
1) Smoke in vehicle
2) Wear slippers (unless drive morning - then must wear shoes)
3) Refuse cards routinely
4) Speed (sometimes)
5) Interview
6) Refuse calls (this not serious matter of choice)
7) Ignore pax waving frantically
8) Bypass taxi stand (of course I stay in lane 2, never in left most lane)
9) F pax
10) Chase pax from vehicle. (of course 9 & 10 rare)
So how long can i last? If open tote is this like Liverpool v Norwich? $ 1 pay $1.25?
Hahahaha.

Drive taxi easy ?
Not easy lah .....
Some still in woderland that with World's Best GPS can drive a taxi in Singapore , they could be very wrong .
Yah, if use GPS use it like streetdirectory. Key in the location, then look at the destination, like how u see the streetdirectory.
Roughly see where the place, then which road to turn in to that place. If still not familiar, look for landmark in your GPS like shopping center, bus interchange, MRT station, etc..
Unless u like one TD i know Yew Tee MRT also don't know which part of Singapore, then problem liao.
Don't like robot listen turn left turn right make u turn...
If follow what the GPS say forever will not learn one...
I use technology to make it faster, key in GPS find, see, go, Still listen on earpiece just in case, but i only listen when nearing destination.
Streetdirectory still use also sometimes, Google map also use, the app Singapore Maps also use, but i don't use all at once ah. Just see see, cos my mind a bit slow..
I can say newer generation of TD that always take MRT during their youth will have more problems with routes, cos most of the time underground, no landmark one, above ground also cant see road. Ask me take MRT i lost one, now with so many lines even worse. I young that time nothing to do like to take bus/cycle islandwide. The new generation army topo also use GPS, LoL..
Best is listen to pax, pax always know many shortcuts, the shortcuts important, cut here cut there thru carpark, small back alley to avoid jams and traffic lights! Save a lot of time!

Went in earlier than appointment time. Thought can choose good coffee. No coffee at all. No drinks offered at all. Next time, bring your own drinks.
Once in room, interviewer look at your records and tell you your offence. My offence was 3 complaints about wrong routes and one reckless driving. Ask me to explain.
Wrong routes, I say I am new and need to use GPS. Their answer other new drivers got no complaint. You got 3 complaints within 3 months.
Reckless driving, I say I always within speed limit but may exceed speed without knowing. I speed only when road is empty. But I am not reckless. How can I be considered reckless with no accident. Answer I got was accidents can happen to fast and slow drivers. I kept quiet.
Next, The Sentence. After reviewing my case, his senior decided my service is not suitable for Comfort image. Pre-prepared letter of termination was passed to me. He said he does not know it's contents but managed to tell me anyway. My CDG pass will expire in 10 days. He said I can appeal but this was not stated in the letter. So I will not appeal.
As far as I am concerned, case closed for me. I am not a good taxi driver. I will stop driving taxis. But I will never stop driving.
Those thinking of joining CDG as new Taxi Drivers, be warned! 3 complaints for wrong routes, within 3 months and you are out.
I'm sorry to hear your plight............
What an IO will want to listen during "kopi" session?..........is not your explanation..........
CDG want obedient drivers, is all along their culture & practice...........Sorry, Sorry, I'm Sorry, is what they want to hear from you..............
The more you explain, meaning the more you are arguing..............IO are salary paid staff, they act big and cool, they know behind got thousand waiting to take the keys, they know out of CDG, still got plenty of companies for you to choose from............
The end result can be peaceful, but since you don't cherish the time with CDG, they had to let you go..............
Trust me, I handle so many complain case, I always tell them don't explain, just say Sorry, Sorry, I'm Sorry.........the most kanna warning, and point deducted............
Hope your next company that you join, will make you a better drivers...........
Take care, bro..........
1) Smoke in vehicle ( which smoking cabby dun smoke inside their cab ? )
2) Wear slippers (unless drive morning - then must wear shoes) ( this one i dun do , very uncomfortable )
3) Refuse cards routinely ( very common )
4) Speed (sometimes) ( if given a chance in highway , which cabbies dun go at least 20-30km/hr above speed limit ?)
5) Interview ( aiyo so many nowadays , if cdg sack this group , they will left with very little drivers )
6) Refuse calls (this not serious matter of choice)
7) Ignore pax waving frantically ( night drivers surely got one esp those play call one .)
8) Bypass taxi stand (of course I stay in lane 2, never in left most lane) ( no wrong )
9) F pax ( some deserve to get fucked )
10) Chase pax from vehicle. (of course 9 & 10 rare) ( this one i dun remember if i did it before )

i realise there is a routine of prefer routes by different paxs altho they may be staying around the same district or area
Lazy to explain in long detail....but more or less i kind of know their prefer route based on their destination.
Most destination that we send pax require the use of expressway...if can get that right the rest usually not a problem

Yah i also notice, old people prefer many small roads(shortcuts), younger sometimes i notice like to follow bus/mrt route, FTs shortest possible route many traffic light nevermind.
Like JW st.81, many younger locals prefer exit Pioneer North, even if they stay the far end of st.81, but FTs and older generation like to exit Corporation Road then go by st.71.
I only 4-5mths, still got lots to learn thats why i prefer sweep aimlessly. But keep getting places i know liao!

1) Smoking - must see location. Airport, Nite Safari, TMFT, day time all no. Best is expressway.
2) Slippers - Again location and timing. I rarely go airport and at night. And must be ready for doctor excuse. (This is a 1 time excuse)
3) Speeding - must see pax. Female, old people, yaya type, Ang Mo etc these cannot.
4) Interview - again must see pax and location. Just outside CBD wanna interview asking for trouble, I dunno why some Tds do this. 2nd guessing important.
5) Cash only must explain beforehand and give excuse that terminal is cocked up. Not that you want to. Scold the machine or act blur, say dunno how to operate properly.
6) Refuse calls - this 1 standard - CDG calls 80 - 90% fucked up.
7) Ignore flagging pax - what to do - my eyesight failing, plus cannot stop, too dangerous might cause accident, bus stop etc etc.
8) Taxi stand - either press busy or never go left lane. Complain cannot jalan
9 & 10) Comes with experience and must know how to cover. And burden of proof is with them.
As I said so far so good. Touch wood - that's my head!
Haha

Yah leh .... like pax from J West St 91 ..... want to go IMM . Many will try to go by PIE , no lah fuck .... their choice is Boon Lay Way !!! I pick i dun need to ask one , straight awayBoon Lay Way !
Like Jalan Teck Whye pax wanna go Clementi Ave 2 .... many will try to find a highway to Clementi , i no need ask , straight away Upper Bukit Timah Road up Clementi Road , no need ask .
Another like Serangoon Road , pax wanna go Hougang Ave 5 , dun need ask them which way lah ..... go straight all the way ....up flyover come down , straight only . I dun ask , best it's i dun pick , cos i know which way they prefer .
Many place , to different various places ..... got specific route one ,

From Day One i drive Comfort til the day i got the boot .....
I was never call in for interview .
I was booted out because i owe rental , same tricks , quitting soon .
Not because i was indiscipline ..... nor i got complaint .....
It was not Operations or Cablink to give me the boot , it was the Credit Control ......

She ask me go by Holland Rd - Ulu Pandan - Clementi Rd - Upp Bukit Timah - Old Jurong Rd - Bukit Batok East Ave 6 - West Ave 6
That was the most tiring route i ever taken, cos almost all the traffic lights were red! Hope not every pax prefer that route!
