when looking at Street Directory , stop the taximeter infront of the pax , and inform them meter had stopped .
Good one .
In case newbies might get uncomfortable to stop one side see directory .
Stop taximeter and see directory , pax should be okay with it , who knows because u did your best , end trip they pay a bit more to compensate you ?

I have a very good friend , i know from this forum , til now we are still very good friend .
He was nearly terminated by Comfort for wearing sandals on a Sunday evening .
Cos Sunday he relak driving one , take rental go home type .
Mother fucking Sunday when u thought LTA and CDG no working , u are dead wrong !
He was caught wearing sandals .... luckily it was a genuine case where he sprained his ankle while walking.... and have to put on plaster when driving .
Does Comfort let him go ?
Yes , avoid termination , but stern warning for wearing sandals , even with a valid reason .
Now CDG is a big cock up .

CDG must take care of the old and experienced drivers. If they die, they will have lots of GPS using drivers.

When I took taxi many years back, way before Google Maps and GPS was available, this was not the case. Ah Pek Raj was lucky he started during that time. There was no complaint hotline and which company will terminate you for taking wrong routes 20 years ago?

I got a friend 56 years old just got license. He also dunno routes, pri 6 education.
Got so many old drivers on the road with pax with the latest gadgets, how come no issues, when they dont know the way?
It's all a question of how you deal with the pax. If the pax got google maps then ask him to guide. Pax wanna go any way, let them.
Yesterday I had a pax wanted to go Pasir Ris St 51, which I would go via Bedok Res, Ave 10 and Ave 9, the route the pax wanted.
For the fun of it, keyed into the GPS and surprise surprise the GPS gave a completely different and longer route.
So why depend on GPS? The pax is the best choice to choose the route because he's paying.
If the pax dunno and you not sure, then it's how you talk to them and explain.
But if you choose to go your own way or the GPS route without given clarifying with them, then whose fault is it?
You can deny, refuse to accept the blame or make excuses and blame the pax or gadgets, and yes sometimes some pax are demanding and dont deserve sympathy.
If you let your pride or your refusal to ask get in the way, then the next complaint is not very far away and this problem will always keep surtacing.
The question is how to resolve the problem and the first question is always to ask, how or what could I have done to improve and solve this.
Making excuses for your mistake, I'm afraid leads no where. Change and improvement must always start with self.

maybe your attitude towards customers ?
maybe u insist your world class GPS never goes wrong ?
maybe u rude , stubborn that the way u took is 100% right ?
there could be other factors ..... only u and those complainants know ....
For CDG , customers comes first .... the rest secondary .
So once u adept to that motto of customers comes first , perhaps more tolerance being lan lan , maybe u can continue to drive for them .
If u are some rebels like me , then forget it , rebels dun lan lan , rebels dun drive a Comfort .

As long as you tell the truth and got nothing to hide, no problem.
If people want to believe CDG driver can earn 6k a month and Silver Cab driver can earn 7k a month because published in Newspaper! so be it.
Truth is in this forum. On some days, I cannot even cover rental as a relief. But Ah Peks' like Raj! have no mercy on us.
My case ends here. I am a good driver. I can drive in any country using GPS.

The truth? this guy has left CDG for so long , the truth are all he piece 1 by 1 from all the tia kong then he form something in his mind and then come and tambah here.
Not to forget , his truth are always 100 % biased towards CDG

The only reason I drive for them is the convenience - more hirers to choose from and I stay close to sin ming. And I like my 2 current hirers - both very cincai and they are prepared to do the topping up and washing - saves a lot of hassle.
But I was seriously thinking of going Beach Rd or switching - an option that is there.
Plus my dislike of CDG's style remains constant, it's very possible 1 day either they will piss me off so much or I will fuck a pax good and proper that leads to a parting of ways.
No Big deal. To borrow a phrase from the $7k driver - 'the taxi is a cash machine" not a 7k machine like his, all I need is a cab to drive to earn my salary, doesn't matter which company it belongs to.
Got no cab or license then big problem, gotta become normal worker again.

GPS not only can sent u to a longer route ..... they might as good as giving you the boot .
Leant what many had been thru ..... kena fucked upside down type of routines , every driver kena that ...... and learnt .
Of course since some insist GPS still made wonders , make it a point to blend both technics into one .
Both GPS and those old school methods , plus of course fine tuning of customers service required for some nasty paxes .
Drive taxi easy ?
Not easy lah .....
Some still in woderland that with World's Best GPS can drive a taxi in Singapore , they could be very wrong .
