As you like to say, give others a chance. Since he die die want to take the pax and go olland let him la. People like you go for quality not quantity.
Nowadays see a lot of this pattern, I'm always happy to give others a chance, sometimes pax right in front of me and I'm in the correct lane and 1st in line, also I dun want, I will just drive by, then these 'warriors' from lane 2 or 3 will suddenly sverve to pick them up because the pax is waving frantically.
I will always hv a good laugh at these stunts, I am happy with my own pace and selections, ofc ourse sometimes kena wrong pax or journey but these thankfully are rare.
My policy is to try to match my takings with my mileage - ie: if mileage is 100km, then my takings should be $100, maybe even more. Minimum should be 80%, anything less than 75% is not good unless of course I had some thinsg to do earlier and as such drove empty just adding the mileage for those things.
Tonight I am happy to say that I managed to earn $25 more than what mileage was showing.

if rbs70 observe from the video .... i was on the second from left lane , as in i do not wish to street pick anyone .....
Left side of me was a Merceces new CDI , charging to ON CALL location .
knn saw him came from Clarke Quay side , dunno kena where ?
Maybe Battery Road .

Absolutely, we gotta be fair to fellow drivers. Ours means ours, theirs means theirs.
And why should we demonstrate to pax, how desperate we are? Pax should be desperate for cabs not vice-versa. Once Tds reduce standards, then more demanding pax will become, expecting every driver to be like that.
In the end such stunts backfire on drivers in general.

Most stunts i saw and witness ... i rarely see the likes of TransCab Wish , or Silver cab , or ohers doing so , why must it be Sonata ?
Like in Jalan Besar area , i have to thank those CDG Sonata to jam brake and street pick those people along the street .... so i will not get complaints for not stopping for them .
But of course once inside the CBD , we can see all sort of stunts inside CBD from all taxi companies .
Esp Silver taxis ....once past 10pm , u will see some interview , even at taxi stand .
Prime taxis also , SMRT Chevy also interview .... except for some CDG Sonatas , see just sweep , no question ask .
