bro, used wrong word liao..not "tio"..means i use same approach.. sometimes tourist not familiar to make informed choice..so i wl try to understand their needs..do they wan to com so far to sgp to b cot in jams counting diff models of cars on our roads.. of course som tourists also don need to be kay khiang for them lah.. -

Maybe my last few years was driving white, so very particular on route in and out of AP..........
Anyway, CDG system can actually trace from the point you pick up until the point you drop off, regardless whether on call or not, if sway sway we re-route and tio jam also, pax late for flight, angry, complain..........check back, why you go 1 loop? Hahaha, jump into yellow river also cannot clear..........
I don't say is a must to use this route, ah Khoon was right, from Hyatt coming out, u-turn at Orchard Boulevard, go in Steven Road after Royal Plaza on Scott, not turning right to Cairnhill, from Steven Road, all the way liao............
Tourist, once on board at AP, I will ask them " first time in Sg?", if yes, regardless where they go.........ECP/City..........why?, once approaching Sheares Bridge, they see our skyline, WOW! And that's the timing, my parang come out liao.........
PIE? Knn, nothing to see leh.........lol

AP to town... agree with RBS... ECP straight forward...
before bencoolen closure... AP to orchard via bencoolen - fort canning best route... now depends on mood... LOL...
AP to river valley near lower delta side... havelock area hotels... ECP exit lower delta...

It is very common for me to take pax from AP via ECP > Keppel Road > Cantonment Road into Havelock or Orchard area Hotels .
But Hyatt an exceptional ...... cos need to U turn at Stevens Road . ( and i hated it ) So from AP to particularly Grand Hyatt , i'll go by ECP > Rochor Road > Newton Road > Scootts Road .

I really hate to use CTE and PIE ........ that's why joined LV hahahaha , cos pax usually either no need use expressways , or ECP if needed . Since joined LV , hardly any chance to use CTE .

Last time, authority very conservative, when they clear land to build highway, they dare not clear straight straight, or else they had to compensate a lot of money..........
Not like nowadays, Cemetery also chase like nobody business...........
If clock can turn back, I guarantee you PIE will be as straight as TPE.........LOL...

ya,,, I'm always proud to show the skyline at sheares bridge ECP way... somtimes offer discount to show to tourists by taking this longer route... but so far all appreciate and pay full when they accept this way...they understand its a good opportunity,,, on the way back may not hv such good view. once an ang mo couple challenged me where's happenning place for locals in late night? Sgp like very quiet all shopping malls...nothing much... I offerred to make a free detour to geylan where still crowded... bustling with activities..The guy was very keen but the wife called the shots n didn't take up the offer....too bad

I believe i've to be fair. Not all of them from this group of ppl are that bad. There's some good minorities. It happened to me last friday when i accidentally missed a turn and i apologised. At end of journey, couple pay by nets. I offered a discount and the reply was:
"Sometime ppl do make mistake. Is ok."

Last week, I took a cab home and was ferried by a 71 yrs old TD driving Epica. He claims that he drove for everyday 18hrs for 20days per month. And rest 10 days. And go for short holidays. Power leh!!!

Last time I ask my Ah Gong, who is 85 years old, Jiak Ba beh?........he say he just swallow a big Mac, now very full..........I ask my mum, really? She told me bo la, he only eat 1 small cha chiu bao.........

Today is my completion of 1year driving taxi.
It has been tough for me as a newbie to be an OMO. Fortunately, I've came across this site which is very informative and has pick up a few stuff here and there. Another thing is, I would like to thank openly in this forum is Khoon. Though I've met him once and couple of times over the phone, I find him very sincere. And of course, when i wanna meet him for coffee, he is not free. And when he is free, I'm not available. And many good advise from forum bros as well. (Poolman, Centori, Ang....etc)
As the road ahead is unpredictable, only hard work will persevere.
Also and finally, to all newbie, those seniors gave advise MUST listen.
I hope this forum will continue to run and help TDs that need help.

waiting for what ? Take lah , Brunei rinngit and Sgd same rate one .But now coffee shop those China cashier , they are instructed not to accept foreign notes , brunei also cannot knnbccb .
