Actually, we as TD should condemn some condos or places that do not honour calls, end up no show, we should list it out so that all brothers and sisters can take note, this will help us in our driving and also at times, make those condos farkers wake up on why cab evade their condos

I seldom take current call The most once or twice a day Nowadays morning No Paxs at sight sometimes 6am to 11am ...just collect my rental so sat and sun morng now I take call I respect them if they see another cab and be diligent enough to cancel the booking. I always press 10 mins wait 5 mins then press no show 5 mins travel time knn total 20 mins wasted waste petrol lost opportunity cost furthermore hang on me when i call My first time took an advance call recently knn $8 also not easy must wait another 20 mins after the pick up time pay $8 they take their own sweet time....phui but I have my ways to tackle them... more chia lat then hammerhammer's method

Funny enough , many of my old Bukit Panjang kaki surrender CDG and became road sweeper .
Some still driving CDG , but drove like a sweeping sampan .
CDG Calls for us ...... game over liao .
Too stressful to drive a Comfort now .

Since 2011 December , many of them just sweep , if got calls , must be in good mood then take .... dun kena bad mood after taking CDG calls .
If got calls , infront only type .... not ridiculously far type ..... see names then take type ... Ah Neh name dun take , Miss Chan dun take , Miss Tan dun take , Mr Kevin Chong dun take type ......
Only take Mr Ogawa , Mr Ridgewell , Mr Kumamoto type .....

And i cannot discount the fact that some accident caused we saw ..... who knows could be all due to the "pek chek"ness of driving a CDG taxi .
Driving taxi already very stressful liao ..... must watch for overhead bridge for TP with camera , must keep to legal speed on the road , bus lanes must watch for LTA wardens with camera ...... red light & surveilliance camera everywhere ..... look out for potential paxes on the street ..... look out for taxi cutting lanes from 3rd to 1st lane ...... look out for goodu drivers on the road , look out for walking pedestrians talking on the mobile phones anyhow cross road never check traffic ..... traffic jams .....
So stressful ...... somemore got kick here got kick there from MDT , end up waiting for "taking their fucking own sweet time paxes" , NO SHOW , JOB cancell upon arriving location ....
The Pax on board say : " Uncle sent me to Jalan See Bay Tai Ko ."
"Uncle , 4 places , first Bishan , then Upper Thomson , then Yishun , last Sembawang ."
So stressful driving a cab ....

Aiyah I dunno why some CDG drivers see call so steam one.
Like Poolman's friend, my pattern also similar.
Always 3 mins and I never wait for 5 min No Show, 3 to 4 mins, I already move off. If I arrive after 3 mins, MDT once show -2 mins, already I will prepare to chow.
No going out CBD in CBD.
No such thing as pax no name one - auto booking etc etc all reject except in ulu place.
Only pax with certain names can be entertained. Indian pax - no way, no matter how close I am. Even 50m ahead, also dun wan. For local Chinese, usually gals will reject one, all going back to faraway location. Pinoy, Burmese also reject outright.
Calls from Govt dept all reject - all pay by card, I relief not hirer, dont need money to be banked in.
Main road, HDB estate all reject. Taxi stand where got high volume of taxis normally waiting, also reject.
Advance booking only from private house or condo which is unlikely to have cabs cruising in the vicinity.
My MDT can sometimes show up to more than 6 jobs rejected. Only take jobs from nice sounding names, even then must see location and time. Hotel jobs unlikely unless prepared to go airport, which I am not very keen on.
I never call pax on the phone, they wait for me, not the other way round. I more thn happy to sweep and interview inside CBD area. $3 extra enough for me, no need for additional $3.30 and go 3 or 4 places.
And most important never pick up from same location as a No Show. 1 No show means all that area consider no show, other areas to be served instead.
Why I don't join LV, since my pattern similar - well it's because I super idle and got other activities sometimes, so might not be prudent. I might make a bit more or around the same amount as present. I am happy with anywhere from 5-7 hours for weekday.
I drive not to get more stress. Always got tomorrow. Only if I super good mood or maybe need extra to roll will I ignore some of my own SOPs.

knn, TD is a business man by himself, how to get tio pok, unless he pok himself lah.I rather term it as termination of contracts. When one or both parties in the underlying contract is not performing up to what is expected, either one can authorise to cease the contract.
The taxi companies in fact, can terminate the contract with you without the need for any valid reason, and you, as a TD, an individual body, can also terminate your contract (throw key) without any valid reason. This is a democratic laws, nor a socialist or communist
