TD got life la or maybe i too slack lol. I can only say it is the best decision I can make to switch to taxi driving.
Last time I drive SMRT bus then no life. Everyday after shift so tired cos believe me, the focus you need when driving bus 10x more than taxi. Every week rotate shift, so basically the off day only use to sleep and adjust body clock.

Actually depends on how you manage your time and how much your expected income. For instance if u OMO, some want to make $200 per day and base profit on daily takings after rental and fuel. If want to take sat and sun off then actually should not calculate that way. One example if u want 2 days off per week if OMO: ie; Rental per day - $90 Rental per week - $630 Daily Rental cost if want to drive mon-fri only - $630 / 5days - $126. So daily to break even include fuel must get $156 (base on fuel $30 daily). So set that target break even target, after that all profit. End your shift at same time daily, let's say 11pm then 11pm stop, keep car.. Make less nevermind. Friday night can OT, if friday still cant make your profit target. Then Saturday drive, since you already calculated 5 days week target, saturday you drive minus fuel is all profit. Sunday die die don't drive.. If saturday OT still don't make enough, the following week might get better. If really that 3 weeks of that month still can't make it then last Sunday OT. Want 14 days annual leave, then first 3 months take pay cut, take it as work outside 3 months probation period, set aside 14 days of rental ($90 x 14days = $1260). So during the first 3 months, every month set aside $420, that's about $13 per day for 3 months. If during your "leave" u get super relief cover then better, that $1260 can bring forward to following year

Mon-Thur 6am-10am......5pm-9pm (Nett $100X4=$400)
Friday 6am-10am.....5pm-11pm (Nett $200)
Sat-Sun throw rental $260 so every week still can earn $600-$260 = $340
Ok mah....1 day earn $50 easy money. If still need more Sat/Sun drive all extra income liao....
Weekend can go gai gai with friends. Weekdays people working I lobo at home can sleep can watch TV so shiok....

TS you need to take sometime to adjust your life and find ways to suit you. Now new, after sometime you master the routes well, you can also ya ya like the old bird here and find happiness in this line.

MOM state all workers must work at least 44 hours per week, anything above 44 hours than are allow to claim OT and max only allow to work 72 hours per work.
As per LTA regulation, Taxi Driver are self employ and are not cover under the MOM law. So mean Taxi Driver are allow to drive as many hours as they like as longas body are able to take it.

MOM law is work 44 hours per week. Per week is Mondays to Fridays.
To cover taxi rental alone, Taxi Drivers must work more than that. To earn more, they must work SPLITt-SHIFT.
Factory workers working Split Shift can earn more than Taxi Drivers.

why? most of them cannot see open,
paid 24hr rental die die must drive at least 14hr, everyday from 6am to 10pm,
so end up cannot tahan said omo no life...

If taxi driving no life , then i seriously think i have some serious problem becoming a taxi driver myself , because taxi driving allows me to do what i like and nobody to screw me for being idle .

Tuesday play badminton .... that's partly why i am driving a cab .
Thursday play badminton , if body allows me to do it twice a week .
Saturday EPL 10pm start ..... i MIA from the road lo .....
Sunday once EPL started .... i also MIA for good lo .

Not enough sleep ? Walan eh , i sleep at least 8 hours daily , can sleep even more but cannot , sleep too much later headache , head heavy .

Cannot lie one .
if OMO , nett income dun take home $100 , dun be OMO better .
But as OMO , it's really tough to get nett $100 with life .
I take Chevrolet as example .
Rental $117
If salalry needed is $100
They need to hit $217 excluding diesel .
To achieve $217 , they must drive at least say $330km .
For Esso pump , 330km , must pump 300x$1.36 ( estimate ) ....about $41 dollars on diesel .
We add $217 + $41 .
He must achieve $258 to get just that $100 nett salalry per day .
I think from 6am to 4pm , it is very hard to get $258 .
Maybe near .
Need another 2-3 hours to get $258 maybe maybe .....
If 6am start til 7pm close shop .
Reached home 8pm makan , bathe , see TV , 10pm sleep , cos must wake up at 6am next day .
Where got life ?
