Chev epica petrol usage

  Hi All

  I have made some data on diesel usage and milleage travel. But i feel like its like dracula.My owner also feels the same way and even say going to send for checking.

   

  Below are the readings before discount

  255km 30.6litres $50.28 ( owner show receipts)
  234km 19litres $31( myself)
  459km  43.58 litres $71.47(myself)
  240km 24lites $39 (myself)

  285km 20litres $34(myself)

  400km 43litres $69(myself)

  Any advice?

  Haiz, must had a big fight with Mod, alamak, forum only, relax like me and BJ,  try to keep those pride and ego for better use OTR.

  Alot leh....My Mercs full tank if pump outside about $100++ can go at least 700km if whack and 800-820km if no whack....Pump CDG full tank $85 mileage about 650km if whack and no whack also can 800km...

  Which works out average $0.10-$0.13 per km

  Nightshift roughly 1 litre : 11km.

  4 months old epica

  I only pump at shell. Different prices so, in km is better

  you merc so laoya?

  mi is about 100km-$1, Pump at tc $0.118...full tank $85 some time can hit 900km..

  Sure expensive, especially for a new epica,  could be something is wrong with the fuel injection system,

  Also check for leaking, sometime at car park before driving off, see if floor got diesel, this is also sign of leaking,  on the road, more leaking as the heat causes the crack to expand.

  Check also the exhaust fumes, it too much, waste of diesel, then either timming is out or piston rings problem.

  Too much possiblilities. Could be yr hirer never pump enough. Traffic jams; long waiting time at Taxi Stand. Engine problem. Turbo problem. Fuel pump problem. I ever pump 60litres for just 450km for one whole month. Told hirer turbo got problem, he say monitor for 2 weeks then see. At last sent workshop but CDG technician say no problem "travel more use more diesel" was their reply.

  Ask hirer to send for repair. If mileage under 100000km. Call Chevy workshop (Ubi) They can check for u.

  Actually when I drive alone 43litres can hit 530km. (Night Shift)

  Analysing your stats. I can't see a constant.

  Why it look like wo si ho, wo si pai?

  I don't think car got problem. More to human errors. Epica is different from sonata. Traffic jams will use up slightly more diesel than sonata. Highway is better than sonata. Don't press the winter button and don't use auto cruise. It will use more fuel. Winter button is actually for places got snow and ice. Shift to N at traffic light.
