when it rains.....
the road get.....
u don't want to end up like
this.......
right ?
Raining time, traffic are always slower, so slow that it can almost took up double the time to complete a trip.
When every trip take longer time, commuter will begin to accumulate, begin the demand of Taxi.
When waiting for Taxi at these high demand time, there are always someone infront of you had broad that empty taxi.
This is the main reason, and it happen to the majority.
What wait at road side for rain to stop, our rental not cheap, we can't afford to wait.
And don't always use the minority to represent the majority.
simple issue like these, there are people who just can't figure it out, but to believe on those invalid reason.
haiz......... stupid.
some of the comments are quite supportive of TDs...
Actually I think the reason the article give is BS. Just wanted to know from TD horse mouth is it real or not
when you get 1 accident on cte, you can find cab vol down in bout 10-15 min.
What happens when you get a second on pie?
And when it starts raining, accidents 3 4 5 come very fast.
Not difficult to find accident 3 on cte again, then 4 on pie opposite direction.
our rain pattern is getting scary also. the volume and intensity is much stronger than before.
Where are the cabs? Take cover not many nowadays, high rental. the rest? stuck in the jams.

So... to counter the "shortage of cabs during rainy days", PTC should recommend another 10,000 cabs to be on the road ? not enough... 20,000 more ?

u mean park in GL si boh bro???
Logically speaking, even pte car owners, when it rain, if not on the road, they will wait for while for the rain to subside, if they are at home or in office, they will wait a while, so these goes back to Cabs, if I am going to start driving after a break or starting my shift, then suddenly it rain, I will just wait a while for it to subside to drizzling before driving off.
And if you talk about calls, esp when driving cdg, sure there will be call, pax also do not want to come out on the street because of rain, and for us drivers, it better to drive into some apartment or HDB and wait for the caller than making ourselves more difficult with the rain on the street.
Rain is nature, and naturally, you will get less of this and that, even at geyland or joo chiat, less chicks on the road, except one siao...fire..

"member, ani kuan kong, ho tia meh"
Take bus loh
Now I scare take taxi + MRT liao
Even walking near Bukit Timah also need scare scare
Comfort has come out to debunk the idea that cabbies stop driving when it rains.
