In my circle of TD kakis, there isn't any school high high type..........
So my mindset very balance.........
Poolman know many school high high in LV, so he think is ok.........he think this group of drivers had no choice to turn into TD..........but to me, they come into our trade, sharing with us this very small piece of cake, and claiming that government make them such............
This government don't turn me to become a TD, my education is low, my type of jobs is limited.........I choose TD out of my own will, because is 1 of the so many jobs that belong to my level, my level of school low low type..........
People who at my level will understand what I meant........so I'm lucky, I found myself a full time job, but as a CEO? or Director? or General Manager? or Chief Engineer?..........NO!......still a job belonging to my level...........
I had stress on this point many many time liao, FT drive Taxi?....to some is knnbccb, to me, I already knnbccb to those school high high liao, what's FT to me?..........

Those school high high type need not fark me............
Just ask yourself is TD profession suitable for you.............
Don't tell me is a honest jobs, every decent profession is a honest jobs..........
After study so high..........you feel all right to be a TD????........
Of course Poolman feel that wages is a main factor in his life............
But low level means low level........any government or any bosses cannot simply push up wages for school low low type..........
TD life can make a school low low type comfortable????.......
Certain logic I just cannot understand............
The day I start driving taxi until I stop driving, never see any form of saving from taxi driving...........today earn, tomorrow out..........
Today make $100, tomorrow a bit unwell make $80........than something happen, give back $200, than all over again............
Consistent earning everyday for 365 days?????........NEVER hear any TD can do that...........
So school high high type, you looking for this kind of life??????.........
Don't deceive ourselves...........a lot of jobs is still much more better than driving a taxi............
Many of us just lack of opportunity.........
Look around at all your friends, peers or relatives............
Btw, I'm talking about youngsters of 30s........with high qualification............listen to uncle for once.........don't la............

Me no choice. 'O' Level.
Luckliy got chief, joined TD no regrets till now. Happy happy i drive. no happy throw rental spend time with family. coming to 3 years now and still surviving.
Working for others max $2000. Got leave; got MC; got Bonus; got CPF, but no fexibility.
Somemore cannot buy HDB flats so CPF for F..K. Rather i keep the money inside my pocket.
As a TD $2000 sure have, but no Leave; no MC; no Bonus. but who cares. I can start work anytime i want. no one to control me. as long every week i hit my $$$$ target can already.
Thought of going back to food industry, also big headache. $10,000/mth close one eye but workers is a f...king big problem. Wifey have no wish to step in again. She say got business no worker "Die". Got worker no business also "Die".

That mean if no chief, you not so lucky liao...
, many here started with no chief.As I said before, in life there are choices, and once your choices become wide spread like buffet, you will tends to be more flexible and marketable.
Given many had tasted TD, good or bad, they tends to compare with their former jobs/trade, so it is up to individual to weight for themselves the pros and cons, what suit you and what is best for you, and also how happy you think you will be going into it, and the most important, is how healthy you get, psychologicially speaking, once you are happy in what you are doing, your health will improve, and once you are not happy with what you are doing, depression set in
