Pre-race Taxi Uncle GP - F1 For Everyone

In a bid to make F1 in Singapore really for everyone, for next year I would like to suggest to the government or Singtel that we should hold a Taxi Uncle GP on the actual F1 circuit over 3 days before the actual F1 race. We can divide into 3 categories: 1) Merc & Chrysler, 2) Sonatas etc, 3) Crown Sampans. Each category will race on one night. There will be compulsory pit stop to pick up passengers and ferry them to various drop off points around the track. PM will present the prizes. Tickets will be cheap and cheerful so everyone can go and watch, maybe starting from $3 if buy in CBD add $3 if buy after midnight add 50% surcharge.

What do you guys think?

Bro, who will foot for the damage repairs? All the losses from the closure of roads, you still want to close another 3 days?? Who dare to be the passengers for you to pick and drop? We TD already kanna complain for been unsafe and "accident" prone, skali no one dare to take taxi after seeing the TD uncle F1 race then we eat grass liao!! Hahaahaj...

I like this idea. Can new drivers join? I drive Sonota. I know will loose to Skoda but with my skill, I might win.

maybe find some kaki meet at One Fullerton ..... we race until Marina Promenade ???

Cannot 51 laps , just 5 laps maybe for fun can .

Ours even more thrills .... got many cars surround us , more thrills , cut in and out ...... need more skills .

uncles, please I am not talking about illegal race. I am talking about official event sponsored by Singtel and our gahmen or organised by all the taxi companies!!!

Of course, it will be an inclusive race. Maybe have some qualifying event before hand...

You have to race in the opposite direction to them unless you want to go against the flow of traffic.

Do u guys know that those Ferrari cars' racers (before & after the F1 race) have to fork out $20,000 each just to race round the Formula one circuit ?

Drive around F1 route ...? can lah....

F1 organisers will likely tell you.... "Mr, $20,000 please..... and and get your own Ferrari".....
