One thing about korean makes , they have super duper designs , damn swee on the outside, lovely to look at BUT the handling sucks big big time!
in one post i related how i cheong with an epica , yes the cab was super fast but comes to corner , u can see it becomes like a motorboat , beh zai . CDG sonata still can forgive coz that make was manufactured somewhere ard 2005.
The epica is a very recent model still like that.
Nothing beats Jap cars esp toyota when it comes to handling.

But then, when talking about private car, we hv to look at the price and the usage, if you want to be in the forefront, of course Wish is the best, but about 40k to 50k more, which you can also get a VW to compare, but if you want a pedal to step on, just travel at normal speed from A to B, B to C, sd wife market or work, childrens go school,..the koreans provide that low budget to accomodate the working class.

Of course Optimal is new and wish only got a face lift, but before COE hike, a sonata and wish different alots, sonata was only 67k and wish about 98k..all including of COE, 6 month road tax and OTR. Avante was only 45k..knn
The new i45 is about the same as optima, and also because of Korean car wave, the jap had no choice but to lower their car prices, shift out their production out of japan to remove the japanese high wages, so you see plant at thailand, philipines, and China, which had stop due to islands many problem.
Competition alway benefit consumer like you and me, monopolisation kill consumer, and for that COE is a total monopolisation. Taxis companies in Singapore is not entirely privated, it tends to Link with govt, be it an extension arm of it business or some relationship at hand, this type of business is call Oligarchy businesses, or some people call it the Cartels,
Unlike apple and samsung, these cartels drink and dine and meet to discuss on how to maximise profit, not much different from the arabs oil cartel
