Stupid Pax lor. I was in a similar situation last year at iKea, Long queue and also at 5pm.
Book a cab at 5pm, you pay Meter Fare + $2.30 + 1 hour ( 1 hour Journey).
Wait 2 hrs for a cab, you pay Meter Fare + 25% Surcharge + 3 hours (1 hour journey + 2 hours waiting)
Of course, I book for a cab.

pax if u think you r going to a gd destination call premier/lakeview. sure got takers.
pax if u know your destination taiko better keep calling comfort/transcab/smrt until u get one.

one current booking pax in seng kang i took this morning, say hard to get taxi . i ask him why no booking cdg, they got more taxis on the road and arriving time normally shorter 3-5min upon confirmation. , we premium(silver cab) always need 8-10min to arrive, his reply, call comfort must wait about 15min before canget one, book premium, very fast confirmation, total time from booking a cab till cab arrive, actually still other taxi company faster than cdg. i do agree as many time at seng kang took a booking, pax always complain very hard to reach cdg
