orbi good LOL ......
Sometimes , pax blame us ?
I thought they no brain actually .
Actually also cannot blame them , S'pore taxi fare structures damn complex one .
Cabby themself also blur, dun say commuters .
Most commuters meter show what , they pay what , they hardly know what's inside the fare .
I am saying they no brain , cos when time like 3-5pm , changing shift time .... why insist in calling CDG , where most drivers also changing shift and most are like do not want to take with risk like hitting to the wrong side of S'pore?
They rather interview .... safest .
SO if need to call ? Callwhich hotline the best ?
Call those taxi companies which their calls has got destinations given to taxi drivers !!!!!!
Or Lake View .... our calls will have destinations for most calls given out from 3pm to 5pm , unless hotels which need 2 or more taxis .
Comfort - Blocked destinations .
TransCab - Blocked destinations .
Premier - Reveal destinations .
Smart - expensive booking fee .
SMRT - some reveal most blocked destinations ...........
So logically who is the best chances u can get a cab home?
Of course those with destinations ?
Simply becos some drivers might just nice going back base .... take one and go back lor !!!!
Price ?
Same mah , it's between $2.30 and $2.50 .
Actually if i am to recommend one hotline ...... if commuters know how to make full use of them , it's TransCab !!!!
Cos TransCab operators can assist caller to indicate destinations to drivers .
It is unlike Comfort , for Comfort , the operators are instructed not to give out destinations , even some pax said a destination , their operator covered it all up , became AUTO CALL.
Which do not benefit both drivers and commuters , at all, nobody wins !!!
Comfort mentallity to their drivers , want take , don't want done .
Strictly no pick n chose .
So fine , some time slot like 3pm to 5.30pm , we cannot escape our sight that most drivers are taking advantage of it and start asking "Go where" to favour their trips , rather than getting hit one to Hollan .
when talking about 2nd shift ....nobody know those tricks more than me lah knn ...
When demanding ? why demand ? where demanding ?....what time peak hour start , what time cbd start ...... how to play game , play hide and seek , play Human Resource ......
All tricks in my pocket.
Once ....on a Tuesday night , just recently .
My wife went out makan at Dempsey with her bosses .
About 10pm , she called me to pick her home .
I replied : " char bo , i off leh , kooning at home ,shiok ."
She requested i get her a cab to CCK from Lake View .
I said no need , my LV members dunno how to go CCK , i get her to call for a Comfort .
Then if cannot get ... call TransCab .
First attempton Comfort , 5 minutes taxi confirm .
She asked why so fast can get , she thought rush hours ,hard to get ?
I told her most Comfort drivers , at that point , want fast calls , regardless of destinations one ..... ai wo call nia .
So asked what about Lake View ?
I said i left talkie inside taxi ...cannot page , dun bother to tell her why ?
Those experience drivers will know what i saying ....
Those dunno what i saying , u have a lot to learn .
CDG does reveal destinations ... but at critical timings or pick up locations
usually these timings not much cabs (change shift timing, raining, bad location - eg ION, alexandra area ...)
out of 10 calls maybe 1 i can see destination ...
Last time CDG revealed destinations for 4 to 5 pm.
Later scrapped because calls for cab usually ding-dong-merry-go-round for a long time.
Took too long for pax and CDG to get a call taken....
reveal of location is a good clause indeed, it had beeen there for decades for a good reason.
just that some kuku bird in CDG, short sighted, wanted to solve 1 problem, but actually invite more problem. And others company just follow blindly, also another kuku management.
We Taxi Driver are versatile, we have our ways to survive on the street. I rather empty back to my intented destination then begin bring to the wrong direction for that few dollars.

So, your wife manage to get a taxi with a call of no destination? Good.
Now, if there is destination stated, do you think your wife is able to get a cdg cab so fast?
The concept of cdg is simple, as a transport service provider, we transport peoples around singapore regardless of which destination, as a driver of cdg, not an employee, you can take the call or ignore it, but if u take it, you have to honor it. By giving destination can only diverts driver to their own preferrances, and that would sway more toward a few places only, it therefore defeated the purpose of what cdg wanted, servicing peoples all over Singapore.
aunties dunno technology one lar. vomit blood trying to explain to them, cos they dun understand either what you said or didnt listen to what you are saying.
you just have to have lots of patience to hear her whine.
But of course, every tds on the road would prefer a call with destination, and that include me, if given, like other cabs companies, I would only choose gd location, like tuas to ap, or after 5, someone going into CBD, the rest no take lor. But then if everyone is like me, then who is going to bring somone from dempsy to CCK on a peak period?
Although I do not fully agree with cdg for not putting in destination, which is a right of every driver need to know, so that he is better prepare, and also it can really make those who actually going there for changing shift or home base more well informed, not ending up on changing shift at toa payoh, end up going Jurong west and one going JW end up going TPY.
I believe cdg knows about all these, just that, you hv to go back to one of their objectives, to service all within SIngapore.
Why some current booking got show destination?......
Is actually cancelation from taxi drivers for advance booking......
Once system reassign for this job, together it will prompt the destination......
So will I confirm this job?.....hahaha.....most time the pax face damn black, unless the TD don't cancel advance booking too last min......
And for pax, from $8 booking to $2.30/$3.30? Knn la......me bo support 1.....

To serve all within Singapore?........... it is a fail attempt
it any location, there are share of quality pax with good destination. by hidding destination, are putting this quality pax into the same situation, to rot.
It a attempt of putting good apple into bad apples....... will there be any apple?.......... only rubbish...... all are rotten.
ever try to book a cab during peak hrs?
try then u noe
perhaps the operator MIGHT able to assist u
To serve all within Singapore also means the fare structure needs to be recalibrated to be fair to all commuters

Whether it is a fail or successful attempt, it is not going to bother us, because that is CDG concept and base on it, that is why its current calls got not destination, but if you ask me, as I said earlier, I would prefer with destination.
Those see collars at cdg is not going to do thing that divert from it objectives, otherwise top management would tell them to f off and see no collar liao. I bet that every pax who called would had told operator about their destination, but the operator goes by the rules, and with that, it hold ground in any complain coming in from the public that the biggest cab company only take preferred road, because Cdg will said back that their calls had not destination.

Agreed of cos, serve pocket and family first lah, but we need understand why cdg hasno destination on their current calls, it is not that they do not know the agony and dislike that their TDs is having and facing on their taiko calls, but they still stick on those rules.
Every cdg drivers knew that cdg has their own KPI to meet, from calls to servicing time, complains and grievences handling case, every month, DROs will highlight to all their drivers on nos of call taken successfully, whether meeting target or did they meet the servicing of cab time on time...etc etc
Lake View and Premier customers know how to get a cab from us .....
Just quote their destinations .
It is our successful formula .
Been that way , successfully all the while .
That is why some customers called Lake View SuperCabby
If u are to interview most CDG day shift driver ....... 3-5pm , do they prefer to take $2.30 call , also need to pay ERP ,and got hit to holland ? Or do human resource ?
No lah , old tricks ,most will interview : "Huh u want to go where ?"
More lucrative and productive .
Take one $2.30 and got thrown to Woodlands after 4pm , looking for trouble .
Interview better .....
Come ar come ar ....interview like me .
Join me do interviews .
