I will be taking my TDVL test soon....
Thought of taking Transcab Toyota Wish....
Or is there any cheaper Auto Tramission Cab out in the market???
Brothers, advise pls ...
Many thanks & regards
No .
NO as in?
Best be relief. After pass straight be omo wish with TC like me later many things you blur.
Meter don't know how to use, mdt don't know how to use, they ask you refer to document they gave which is outdated. End up read here how to use meter, ask other driver at CNG station. CNG switch don't know how to use. Lol all learn myself, for me thick skin can just go up to any driver and ask
Call driver hotline many times to ask some questions regarding lost and found procedure no answer. My vehicle got problem members here, especially poolman, help how to go about it.

Cyben764: Transcab got no orientation class huh ?? Meter operating no an issue cos i learnt frm my neighbour liao
Then what u guys advice me to take leh? Silvercab or SMRT? Cos I never like yellow n blue also
In my opinon, for newbies the best is still cdg, but the waiting list Q is quite long, in the meantime, be their relief first.
Bowah: why is blue n yellow so popular?? they seemed so yah yah papaya during the roadshow, told me to wait at least 12 weeks to get a sonata ....
BTW, i was a delivery man last time..... the roads i m still ok cos i deliver goods to NTUCs all over the island mahz

Lol darryl I use to work NTUC it support for 8 yrs, 4 yrs one man show islandwide 24/7 7 days a week 365 days a year. All cheers, exxonmobil and fp branch. Clock mileage like cab driver 5000k or more per month. And I can tell you, it's different driving cab. But it would be easier for us with such experience compared to those long time never drive
Cyben764: Intro leh... maybe we met at one of the FPs before ..lol
Now which company u driving for???
U stay ard Eastern Sg??
It is popular because it is much well organised with a much better system in place, as a OMO, you are able to get relief easier and as a relief, you can easily find a hirer near your place,
Tthe conveniences of topping up fuel at many place also add value, and for some, their calls system alone can make your day less miserable or make a easier living out of it. System including MDT, cashless transaction and their driver portal system, I would say is still one of the best among all which I drove or driven.
Of course, people are lure into TC due to it lower rental and monthly rebate to compensate the CNG pumping whereby each shift, you may hve to go back twice to only a few limited areas. It fujian kind of management can give you many uncertainties in a way of lure you in first, then talk later. It is therefore less establish then cdg.
But if you just look at the yaya papaya, then no choice, but our objectives is to get a taxis and make a living, heckcare those farker with whatever papaya they have, my advise is first get a hirer, register as relief and drive. At the same time, book a cab and wait if you wish to be a hirer.
Many deliver men become TD on the road, from FX to DHL to container drivers to me, the casket driver, but allow me to tell you, taxis driving is different, and if you think you know the road well as a NTUC driver, then you can be damn wrong as a TD, but all these are my advices only, do not take it too hard, even if you really want to drive for TC<, be a relief and learn first.

Bowah: Will take your advice seriously. Its actually not the attitude, but gotta wait for 12 weeks. Never want to get a relief or be a relief becos I got sideline which requires me to use the vehicle at different times of the day.
Cyben764: Bro, u mean your wish goes to the A&E every month for "surgery" huh? Its really that bad huh??

I think i see u before at FP, your name same as nick right? Anyways like u i also wanted OMO cos i got sideline, but i don't use cab for my sideline. But my advise is be relief first..
I dont go CDG and SMRT cos i have my own reasons. Anyways Toh Guan CNG less then 3km from my house so ok for me. If u east, wah super far, maybe try Silver like Pool.
Yes can go CNG at serangoon north but price higher no discount. Petrol ex, i tried $50 a few airport run up and down with fully loaded only last me one 12hr shift, maybe cos my engine screwed up that why overhaul...

why alway cut here cut there to hijack pack is alway from cdg?
reason is mostly cdg is 2ppl share, and they'tre otr hr is limited...
not like omo, morning zai bo lang still can rely on nite..
Cyben: I am called Darryl. After my delivery man job, i was promoted to be Sales Exec but i cover FPs n Cold storages.
Toh Tuck no issue for me cos I dun mind travelling since I will be OMO. I know that Serangoon will be more Ex becos 4 of myneighbours drive Wish ... Mycarpark is a Taxis' wonderland, got white, silver, copper, red, yellow n green. LOL
Was thinking to start at 5am then i go str8 to Airport ... then 10am teng chu koon untill 2pm... then go n chiong untill 11pm? Feasible Idea??

if omo, wish still the best..
if u can manage ur time well than cng is no a problems..
Red5xx: Thanks for the input. U driving Wish also??
Actually if you count on a yearly basis, my wish 1.8 which is daily $94.16, plus all the rebates monthly and yearly, its only $60.xx per day.
But performance wise, many say Wish 2.0 better.
What is the diff between 1.8 n 2.0??
If I am not wrong, the rebates for 1.8 is more right??
To be frank, the roads in Sg always congested, it is not as though we can "fly" on the highways.. LOL

Yes 1.8 rebate more
Bigger engine capacity lor, for my 1.8 carry 4 ang moh, with luggage go up slow it struggle, usually i switch to petrol in such case.
Pax with many luggage and ang moh prefer wish at AP cos outside look bigger they think can put many things, but behind got one big CNG tank taking up much of the space
