Saw a family of 3 adults ( two oldies + a mother ) plus two kids of about 4 and 6 .... under the void deck flagging .
Stopped and pick .... raining .
So total 3 adults and two kids , make up just nice , legally 4 adults head count .
Pressed meter , on board , was told to stop about 10 metres away ....
I dunno why ?
I really hope not another adult in ..... that will be illegal .
It is !!!
That man actually wanted to hop in !
Then u can hear i say cannot cannot , too much people .
Follow by explanation .... nicely .
"We came like that ? " she said .... ( i felt sad cos my fellow cabby actually took them ! "
She know the law ???? She came by taxi the same head count ?
My fellow cabbies so hungry actually took them ?
Sad for those who did it .
Of course knn got chase down ....
Not me lah knn .... i not so hungry .
In fact after i left , behind me a Comfort Sonata actually took them !!!!!
Anyway , what that Sonata did , had nothing to do with me .
"Singapore is a "lawful society" ....."
I said later if they want , they can flag for another cabby who willing to go against the law , which "not me " to do it .
Phui to that CDG Sonata , typical Sonata . Hungry like fuck .... got call dun take , must sweep 4 adults and two children , really wtf !
Anyway , same crap ...... it's what other cabbies did that make them think the rest also can do it .
Pls lah cabbies .... dun do it !
So some might say .... " Pool , u biase against Comfort Sonata , what makes you think that Sonata took them ?"
Here you go , have a look >>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUX0EmX_qBQ&feature=youtu.be
Pay attention to 0.03sec clip , watch for left screen , the vehicle which the head lights on !
That is the one i talking about .
Phui spoilt market .
I really hope he reacted like me , no means no .
Cos what happened after that , we really dunno .
You decide !
Its liable to lose not only your tdvl but your driving licence as well if you happen to get into an accident.
Not worth it la...lose tdvl still ok...but to lose my driving licence oh gosh....no way man.
I had a glance over my shoulder when i drove past them ....
Everyone was inside already , except the parents of the kids .
The law requires that your car be insured at all times.
Driving your car around without insurance is a serious offence in the eyes of the law.
The penalty is a fine of up to $1,000 or imprisonment of up to 3 months, or both. Upon conviction, offenders will also be disqualified from holding a driving licence for at least 12 months.
This is certainly painful, especially for those who depend on their licence for their livelihood (e.g. taxi drivers). So do make it a point to ensure that your vehicle is properly insured.

Our vehicle insured only 5 adults max .
Picking up any accessive person above the 4 adults passengers ruling , it's infringement of the insurance policy .
Driver for that mere $8 fare ? Worth it .
Even to Tampines for $25 also not worth it .

I insist they take 2 taxis .
No compromise .
Chief...
ur title got typo error?
What 4 adults and 2 children only? Friday night I saw one citycab with 7 ladies alighted from the cab at carribean@keppel. Must be a 50pts trip. wonder how to squeezed 6 at the back.
seen quite a few times, 3 4 cabs reject then the 5th one finally take. tat hungry to take the risk. but frankly not worth it.
few bucks to have your tdvl burn.
a lot of time its the transcab wish kena. those that reject really got backbone. the one that finally accept, good luck.
This type of scenario I rejected numerous times liow, those yau gwee can pick I dun mind. No matter how hard pax plea n entice me that it's only a short distance, my reply is always a firm NO......haha.

The messsage is very clear .
No matter what price they give , not worth to get caught and got license revoked .
Remember , Police want or not only .
Don't take things for granted .
All TD Brothers, if u think about it not only are u infringing the law and risk losing ur TDVL u are spoiling ur own market. By agreeing to ferry more than the allowed number of passengers u basically cut the need of 2 taxis to 1!!! So u are taking away another TD earnings. U are spoiling market for urself. Nowadays wt more and more TD having Car Cam, all one have to is send LTA a clip and u are out looking for alternate job. So help urself and help others, don't ferry more than what is allowed.
Ah Jimmy Case, this problem will never happen to me. Indian FT is my absolute last choice in pax. Sometimes, even CBD calls, midnight calls also I won't take, what more street hire jobs?
Indian FT with family including mother (or father) and kids? That one even worse, maybe the first sometimes I will take as a last chocie, this one, absolutely no chance.
I generally avoid pax with kids, especially if I notice the kids jumping frantically when hailing the cab, they will behave like monkeys in the cab. I know I am generalising perhaps unfairly here, but I have had enough of kids behaving badly with the parents doing nothing to stop them.
Indian FT kids are worst, the parents treat their kids like 'angels' or gold, will never stop them or scold them for doing wrong.
Now why I avoid Indian FT?
1) They will talk non stop especially women, or on the phone in their stupid dialects. You see this all the time, talking loudly in Hindi usually and don't fuck care about people around them, who must listen to their animated conversations.
2) These FT bring their culture here, including the caste system, they think they are some higher class because of their caste or jobs. They will treat drivers like shit.
3) And of course, they stay some stupid places like Sengkang, Jurong West or wherver you'll find a hard time finding another fare.
4) They must pay by card or $50 even for $5 or $6 fares? Why to act high class, la.

I didnt fully understand the problems here. But assuming the case was more people trying to squeeze into a cab to save money few points.
May of you are lucky to be better than many other. But it didn't come from your greatness. had you been born in India as an Indian FT, I can bet you would be doing the same.
Though there are many arrogant people, two things for sure, not all of them are Indians and not all Indians are arrogant. The chinese culture is designed to be subservient/worship the Boss so relatively many seems arrogant as it has been my observation. Of course there are some north indians who truly believe they are divine.
A bit more of compassions/giving a hand to those idiots who think they are great can help you feel better about yourself(You are better than that idiot) and do something good.
Peace!
LOL"Ya we know the law, but I'm here to bukit batok"
Usually big family will try their luck.......
Nobody will expect the worst especially taking taxi......
Got to be careful, many drivers been penalize, why?....
Family of 5 on board, driver realise over loaded, not happy, chase them down, but pax accept the reason given by driver, so 3 get down to hail another cab.....but driver TL liao, cheapo pax mah, all chase down.......not knowing that conversation was also recorded by pax........What turn around, come around........
For me, explain nicely, no need to get angry, once you stop, meaning you have the intention to pick, so why get so upset? Unless pax insist must go, than for me, stop engine, get down and smoke.......don't need to argue........
Anyway, last time, whenever I see 3 and above pax.....my eyes look 45 degree to the sky, bo stop 1 la........
I have to agree that breaking the laws is no good especially in Singapore context, further to brothers comments on Indian FT cultures,
I would like to add that people from these countries, the like of China and India or any other developing ones, are also cultured in a way that breaking of laws is common because you can bribe your way out.
You will find yourself facing a different culture, cheapo in our eyes, yet proud and like to break laws here and there, looking down on others way of earning a living, yet never give a thot for others, these are all very common in those countries where disparity of the rich and poor are at the two extreme, and the poor are at the mercy of the rich.
We TD are very much expose to these type of culture happening more than those offices job, because day in day out, we engage them in the real society of singapore, therefore, can really see how their behavior cross the line, and to some of us, it can be a culture shock.
given to chinese families or malay families , i remain firm , no means no Not for any money , cos money i have , no time to go retake license thats all .
