Bear in mind, this round of exercises is to replace those old Mercedes due to scape.....
At the point of time, whoever is the hirer had no CHOICE, either accept or downgrade or perform magic......
I believe the idea of NEW MERCEDES is too good to be rejected, many having the idea of hiong hiong go lah......not realizing the heavy burden behind it......
Personally I rejected this Mercedes with this kind of rental......
For own use??????Pig also not so big.......
Frankly speaking, after yesterday soft launch, it did create a small commotion among kakis......every words is to the bone.......
Limousine market might have a little bit impact, more taiko drivers will appear.......

Haiz, different frequency lah, mai kong liao, lu kong lu luan........
But anyway, just to add, for those TDs who are rich enuf and that TD is like passing time, if can afford and yet wanting a drive a merc, the new mercs taxis can be a good option.

fully agree... we are at the same frequency :) Is for those who have other source of income and have free time to drive for few hours a day. -
Very much depending on what kind of side line you are doing beside driving taxi......
For me, I face a lot of rejection last time whenever I drive my old Mercedes cab to see clients, no matter how nice is my cab, is still a cab......
Of course, there's a lot of side line which don't face rejection, but calculate your sum properly, is it worth it after all.......

Go drive a CDG Viano at $155 is a better Option....
1 pax can take.... 7 pax also can take....

dun have to wait till the rental increase for a sonata even at $100 a month, most taxi will struggle after thomson line / downtown line is up and running....eat grass liao A smart full time TD will plan for his next job -
Given the car COE and prices, and if one do not mind a taxi on the roof, people calling you TD, why not? cheap diesel somemore.

I actually planned 2yrs in advance (before the Circle Line enter into service). Bro BCL knew that I was planning to jump into Pte Limo since 2010.
luckily, I am "still above water now" (after 1 yr)....

Aiya, different people, different option, that you hv to respect hor. Like it or not, already people rent is out OTR, and we are here talking about option and high rental, people survive or end up throw key also up to them, at least they tried and take the risk.

I got some kakis.... OMO at $124 already driving aimlessly....
now... at $159 ($35 more per day, $1,050 more per month)... sure peng san.
