i think ts is pax...
pls note tat half of mackenzie rd is inside cbd... half of is outside...
Passed by Fort Canning Lodge (YWCA) the other night and 2 ladies flagged my cab.
Once board, I press the meter and the city surcharge.
One of them ask me why I charge $3, since it's not in the CBD. I told her that it is.
She said that she had already confirmed with her friend who works in LTA who told her that it is not. She wants to call her friend and let her speak to me.
I told her no need to pass the phone to anyone, how I know if she really from LTA. I told her that if that $3 really matters to her, I can just waive it, but I am very sure that that place is within the CBD.
She insist on having my contact number saying that if it is really true, she would refund me the $3 but I say no need to go through such hassle just for that $3, I won't get rich because of it.
You guys know how to 100% confirmed it? Every guy who went through the taxi course would have a road directory with another big map inside. Look at the map and you will see the CBD boundaries all in dotted lines. Any place within we can charge, anything outside cannot. This is taught by our instructors.
I know about it, but honestly, when she mention her friend from LTA. I abit "chua" cos I not 100% confirm, only about 95%, so just in case, better not to have embarassment. But later she go off, I check the map. knn#$%^&&*.
This CB still say cos she Christian, she dun want to cheat ppl.

Yes, Fort Canning Lodge belongs to CBD boundary as in LTA CBD map, I previously not aware until you said and I checked.

Under LTA, the Cbd boundary for Mackenzie rd is until the entrance door of Used Car Company. It does not effect Niven road passing thru Wilkie Rd.

Fellas, there is always a white signboard "End of Restricted Zone" that is placed by LTA as a marker.
Just like Neil Road, there is one just before the traffic lights on the left.
Look out for these sign boards.
