Ugly and cockup tailgating driver

Mr Siew Kum Hong:To ask the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs how many cases of road hogging were there in each of the last five years.
Mr Wong Kan Seng:The number of summonses issued for breaches of Rule 5 of the Road Traffic Rules in each of the last 5 years is set out in the table below:
Road hogging is proscribed under Rule 5 of the Road Traffic Rules, which states that (a) every vehicle which is moving at a slow rate of speed shall be driven as close to the left-hand side of the roadway as possible, and (b) every vehicle shall at all times be driven in such manner as not to obstruct vehicles moving at a faster speed. Breach of that Rule is an offence under Section 131 of the Road Traffic Act, which attracts a maximum penalty of a $1,000 fine or 3 months’ imprisonment for the first offence, and a $2,000 fine or 6 months’ imprisonment for a second or subsequent offence. Where a person is convicted of the offence, four demerit points will also be awarded under the Driver Improvement Points System.Of course TP is not likely to catch you if you are at the speed limit and driving on the RHS. Because speeding is a bigger evil and TP needs to be clear of that, but that in itself doesn't absolve you of any wrong if you doggedly keep to the RHS.
Is it that hard to separate 2 distinct issues as well?
Beyond that, whatever happened to ROAD COURTESY?
None I suppose.
I see a lot of talk about if someone road-hog, then its perfectly fine to overtake and then show brake-light directly in front.
And then if the person behind high-beam....its also ok to show him the brake-light!

i drive at 100 to 90 km/hr on first lane,don't care who is tailgating,high beam or horning!i am carrying passengers and can't always go to second lane!unless if it looks like an emergency like ambulance,fire engine or that guy looks like in a hurry and nicely indicated to me or it's safe to change to second lane

I believe a lot bros here not very sure what's the use of Lane 1 of expressway in sg. Lane 1 is for overtaking, according to traffic rules. But in sg, most people just treat it like normal lane. Please give way to those who wants to overtake, irregardless of u ferry who, u travel at what speed. Let go and everyone will be happy.

Its very hard to believe that you even drive on the road.
Tell me what better way is it to tell you nicely than to flash a short high-beam?
Wind down window, shout and hope to get heard?
Tail-gate?
Show middle finger?
Or better still, give a nudge on your bumper like the touring car boys do?
If you are zhi dong and see that someone is gaining on you behind and just let him pass, you won't even have to wait for someone to "show you nicely"!

In case you do not realise, obstructing another on the road wilfully is also considered a traffic offense....since you decided to use the TP excuse.
So the speeding one gets the ticket, so can the one holding up the queue behind.
You can't make a right by doing a wrong another wrong!

i had seen or encouner so many times driving speed limit on the right lane and tp just drive pass.
so y can't just drive at speed limit?

i drive on the road cos i am making a living!i can drive above 120 km/hr,no problem but i don't want to risk the passengers life.i am not on the road to race or show off!

but if everytime gotta goto second lane,a lot of cars will be busy changing lanes all the time!u think that is practical?it may cause even more accidents!

That is auto ban in germany, it is auto, no speed limit, ours is expressway, got speed limit, auto ban use helicopter TP, we use only subaru WRX. -

As a seamen travelling, I drove there before, I drove at 180km/hr, still have to keep left, 180 is like our 80 here only, one BM zoom passed me at least at 280km/hr, saw the helicopter pass by also never stop anything.
The german makes sport cars from audi to merc to BM and others to top notch speed of 300 to 400km/hr, they therefore have to provide road for that speed, so that utilisation and performance rate of those cars are truly used and said to be useful to them, is like saying, you ask me to buy a top speed 400km/hr car and just allow me to travel at 90km/hr on the road, then, I buy for fark?
Therefore, people in europe buy cars like BM, Ferraris and lamborgini for more reason other than just for show, our here is all for show only, at 90km/hr limit, why need a sporty merc?? then go too fast, hit taxis
