Ugly and cockup tailgating driver

Was sending a hongkong female pax to AP today at 4 plus and was chatting happily going down sheares bridge in lane 1 towards fort rd when suddenly someone blared his/her horn continuously at me.
Checked rear view mirror and almost cannot see his/her bonnet. Looked at speedo, was doing 80+ (speed limit is 70 there) and slowly overtaking numerous vehicles on lane 2. So no problem, ignored and continued chatting.
Driver behind continued to work on the horn. Really damn loud and irritating! Hand really started getting itchy around my handbrake.
But the thought of my nice pax needing to catch a plane and my relief's rice bowl flashed across my mind.
Just before the 80 kmph speed limit sign, thought driver may really be in a hurry and cannot liao, driver is so cockup that my arse may be kissed any minute.
So gave way
Guess what, as he/she was passing me, saw a pair of female hands holding a tab or ipad trying to stomp me!!??!!

To the cockup (saw car was SJH xxxx and either a lancer or silphy as wasn't paying much attention then) who may be reading this or any newbie driver....
Uncle is going to advise only this once, no more.
Get your facts before you assert your rights on the roads else things may get real ugly.
Whoever gave you the impression that tailgating can pressurised the front driver to give way? You can get badly hurt (even with airbag), pay more insurance subsquently and may even be slapped with a lawsuit!
If you think you can win by tailgating a taxi, do it somemore and find out. This kind of stunt may only work on triangles or on those whose wheels are more precious than their wives.
Remember this well....

It will be a good lesson to the driver who tail gated to meet with an accident
i am sure there will be some guai lan driver buay song stomp the brakes

Tsk tsk tsk...... Go read ahtanlor's thread abt facts uncle. By the way, Benjamin sheares bridge's speed camera is one sided n usually face up slope. If you wanna drive leisurely, pls do so on lane 2 onwards.

KEEP LEFT! UNLESS OVERTAKING.
But you can easily forget this rule when you are driving a beautiful hongkong girl to Airport.
But Beware! Some Girls can CumLun.
Stay away from kamlan Girls.

sometimes we as TD cannot always drive on Lane 2,then passengers will complain we drive slow,so we go first lane travelling at 90-100 km/hr,but some drivers not happy either tailgate u,high beam or horn u away!is travelling at that speed not allowed by LTA on LANE 1?any law against it?

At lane 1 of expressway, better to go 100, at least if they tailgate you, you can remain at 100 zai zai, I for once never bother about tailgate, no feeling for that, as long as I travel lane 1 at 100, lane 2 at 90, I dun give the fark who is tailgating, if want to overtake me, go ahead, show me whatever finger also no use, I dun even bother to look at it. Like this you can drive more happily.
But if keep horning and high beam me, then I jam brakes and play with him lor, want to stomp or storm also can, already tired after driving, where got time to go an bother all these stupid peoples who like to tailgate others

Left lane, from lane 2 to lane 6 is for bus/truck/Van/motor............
We are teach by LTA not to keep left, left is for bus..............

It is all about ego and pride lah, some overtook me, than purposely slow down in front of me at 60km, I let it be, the most together we road hog the entire road with him in front lor.
All these speed are sort of culture set by local drivers including us, the TD, but if you look closely, expressway max is only 70 to 90km, so what is the problem?? Yes, our grandfather road.
As TDs, we are already stress out by paxs, location, destinations, calls, rentals, workshops, breakdown, these and that, to add more on expressway is so uncalled for, once hit expressway, I relax liao, maintain the normal cultured speed, careless what is coming, unless subaru or white honda

thanks bros Bowah,fr now on i will maintain at 100 km/hr at lane 1,care less about those buggers who horn,tailgate or hgh beam!ths "ice" is definitely not a taxi driver!he don't understand us!whereas for us driving is a job!

Fellas, that's why I always say the present driver training system is seriously lacking somewhere.
Most drivers I see everyday are generally ill-equipped to handle everyday expressway driving. Even on normal roads for that matter! You see ppl going happily at 90+ on 50kmph-limit roads.
Take the entrance to kpe (city-bound) tunnel for eg.
I km before the entrance, speed limit is 70, numerous signboards such as reduce speed, downslope, dark tunnel ahead, etc are displayed.
Yet you hv ppl happily picking up speed, overtaking and changing lanes and "BANG"!! Several-vehicle pile up. Half of singapore inconvenienced.
Quite frequently you know, esp morning peak hours!

Penalty for tailgating must be increased to say, $300 and 9 points. That should make those aces sit up, take stock of the situation and drive more carefully!
As a further penalty, you tailgate and kiss someone's arse, insurance should only pay for your car damage but you hv to pay others' damage.
Tailgaters on expressway who gets into accidents should also pay fines for causing congestion and inconvenience to thousands of other road users!
