i think LTA must rethink about this cab booking system!it favours the passenger,anytime passenger saw an empty taxi pass by,he can simply flag it down and take and then afterwards don't bother to cancel booking,then the taxi driver who is on call,wasted his time and petrol travelling there!i think the TD also should be given the chance to pick any passengers when they flag the taxi down while going on call
But as passengers, some TDs also jump call or no show up for whatever reason.
We take the example of a restuarant, you ordered the foods, but waited for sometime, so decided to jump to the next restuarant and eat without informing anyone, careless if the former restaurant serve or not. The former restuarant served but cannot find the customer, also lan lan get frustrated and take back. This scenarios happens to most of us all the time, but singapore, being very much a customers' driven society, alway like to side the customers more than the service provider.

how to jump call?the MDT is stuck with passengers partculars!can't even take other passengers!TD no show also same thing,cannot pick other passengers!
My jump call meaning taxi driver took the call, but never show up. There are quite a nos of advance calls end up with no taxis arriving. That's why sometime, on cdg MDT, you see bing, advance call $8 only half an hour to get another cab in as fast as possible.
Both side, the cabby and the pax can put aeroplane one, of course the cabby might end up drinking kopi with their DRO.
Therefore in a situation whereby both side can perform the stunt, it is very hard to put a rules on those pax who, while on call, took other cab and yet did not cancel it.
For driver who cannot pick up their pax on call, you can call back the call centre to cancel the call, half to 15 minutes for advance and 5 to 3 minutes for current still can be done, the operator will cancel it and call other cabs.
Once I took an advance, very rush, with 15 minutes left, get jam up at AYE due to accident, so call back to cancel it.
