Is 2 adult + 3 children the same as 3 adults and 2 children?
this is what a local group I pick up from VIVO was saying.
He ask me what is the difference.
My answer is
1. My taxi licence will be revoke if caught.
2. In case of accident, taxi driver will have to bear all the cost as insurance will not pay.
Haha, anyway, I not so sure also. what's yr take?
anyway, why can't people obey simple rules?
after I rejected them, the attendants there told them not to worry, I dun take, the next one willing to take.
Is it worth to take such risk, especially when taxi queue is so looonnnng there and we can actually pick and choose.
There was once I kanna conned by a Malay group. I thought I saw quite a number of people but did not really take notice how many came in. Throughout the journey, I actually see 4 pax but only after reaching, I realised that there is one extra one keeping real low and quiet.
The maximum number of passengers for a taxi in Singapore is follows:
a. 4 adults, or
b. 3 adults + 2 children, or
c. 2 adults + 3 children, or
d. 1 adult + 4 children, or
e. 6 children
(Note: children = under 12 years old)
So it's not possible to pack 3 adults and 3 children into a Singapore taxi.

Same mah.
When 3 Children = 2 adult
2 adult + 3 children (2 pax) = 4 pax
3 adult + 2 children (1 pax) = 4 Pax

Thanks
now I know.
Just last friday...a family of 5 from UMRAH prilgrimage boarded my taxi from CP to Queen street...i just dont noe how to say "NO" since it is the month of Ramdhan...i rather feel bless that they are taking my cab so i can get more "PAHALA"...
Sometimes its hard to say "NO" when you aware its wrong...it rather on per situation or case by case basics....
If you feel that doing right by breaking the law and your conscious tell yu its the right thing to do...so be it...just do it...but do it at your own accord...
army rule..do but dont get caught...lol
fellas, the cdg fare decal on left rear windows has lots of info...
just study it and show pax!
Info like no food allowed; max pax loading allowed (with diagrams); help with loading of heavy objects is goodwill gesture of cabby and not mandatory; etc...
2 Adult + 3 Children has been around for some time.
3 Adult + 2 Children was only allowed recently.
The LTA Officer who took us in the February TDVL Course was saying that got many complaints because Parent (2 Adult) + 2 Kids (2 Children) + 1 Maid (1 Adult) cannot take taxi because of LTA Rules. So they relax this one.
But got one rule I cannot understand and the LTA Officer explains also no logic.
If 2 Adult = 3 children,
then 4 Adult = 6 Children. (this one is allowed)
My question is, how to sit 6 children?
Front seat sit how many? Can front seat sit two?
Back seat sit how many? Five? How?
Although unlikely to ferry 6 children, this rule really puzzles me.
