My calculation $1500 is before CPF deduction on 44 hrs a wk (MOM rules)after that is o/t pay U get from employer: 7 days or more on AL 104 dys no work w pay (sat n sun) at least 12 dyas PH cpf from employer sick leave & hospitalisation leave free medical & dental compassonate leave If u convert all these benefits into hrs, u will then find a $1500/mth job is paid more than $12/hr whereas the poor TD hv to drive daily 12 hrsto make 3k making less than $10/hr Quality of life is also a great diff between these 2 person. As a TD u no get any of the above,worst still no drive(so no income) still hv to pay rental -

If you have bills and mortgage loans to pay.
TDs with better time management will definitely clock more than the fixed paid job.

I was earning like over $5000 a month in Toshiba Singapore . KCTK know how much their salesman can earn .
But it's one of worst job i ever work in .
Totally no life .
Working in a Japanese company is nice , but not working with the whole bunch of locals . Pathetic .
What i am saying , if one can find happiness with $1500 , and no happiness from driving a what they say $3000 per month driving a cab , so that $1500 job is good job !

The most important , i only work for one objective ( HDB flat ) .
