Expensive if you buy cars and private properties and eat at top end restaurants....budget and modest living if you use the public transport and live in HDB flats and eat at coffeeshops...Yes modest living is still above the reach for some lower income people, but at least there are enough jobs for them....in conclusion, SG is a good place to live if you can afford it.

You think why millionaires chose Singapore to live rather than other asian cities? Yes...SG is the best in everyway if you can afford it....for the typical SG people, have to work very hard...because SG is expensive to live in...even modestly...
