PM Lee admits govt lacked 20/20 foresight

I usually respect foreigners coming here trying to make a living, only if they come alone. However, these filipinos are taking over our service jobs. Reason, cheap labour. I am irritated by just hearing that tagalog. Everyday in the mrt, they will speak loudly and inconsiderate. They do not show respect to our elderly by not giving up their seat. I am truly disgusted by them, i work in a retail line and thank god my company do not accept filipinos or PRCs. But the immigration of singapore needs to know that filipinos who come here on a holiday are actually here to find a job. They have been entering my store with resumes in hand asking for vacancy. I simply tell them that they have to attain a working visa. They say they don't have cause they intend to apply after they get a job here. This should not be allowed. I do not wish to see filipinos as a culture in singapore. Singapore should have a singaporean test for them to go through and not anyhow accept these filipinos into the singapore society.

i see service has always be lowly paid and perceived as a low class job. becasues to o many cheap labor around. next time you encounter such cases, please hold them or their formal documents. the immediately call MOM or police. such are illegalacts no different from touting or seeling prostition on the streets.if more sgreans report such cases. they willknow we are a country free weclome for allnationalities but not a country with laws you can fuck around with.
as a true singapore, you should report.
