  Singapore is not a homogenous country, there are lots of young foreigners and they are faster than our veteran aunties in getting a seat on the train.

  When R seat is vacant, the foreigners will take it without any qualms. So Singaporean bo pian take first.

  I see mostly ang mos won't touch R seats.
