I went for the preview and it's not that bad. The main gist of the event still holds like the parade section and how the show performances link to the local identity.

Bali is nice esp the quiet and serene countryside. If you like shopping Kuta will be nice.
Nah, all these fireworks, parades and performances look same to me. Better for the kids.

Now with all the price war among airlines, Bali seems tempting for me to go.
I think most go NDP because of the funpacks.

We paid $111 for 2 return tickets with Air Asia offer.
Plenty of cheap tickets with the budget airlines.
Feel like going Kuching for laksa.

West Malaysia, I been too many times to many nooks and crevices during my younger days for business and leisure.
East Coast is nice beaches. Can go and see turtles laying eggs in Rantau Abang in Trengganu in Aug!
