[HISTORY] KMT-CCP First United Front.

  I know that the united front was formed because they wanted to get rid of the warlords, suggestion of USSR, benefits for each other and there was an underlying reason.
  
  was the underlying reason -> some kmt & communist ideas were the same?
  
  please help!

  GMD accepted coalition for the following reasons. Firstly, it gave all Chinese the right to participate in the National Revolution. Secondly, GMD could use CCPÂ’s ties with the workers and peasants, as well as Soviet aid to reorganise itself. Thirdly, it will help keep the CCP in check, preventing it from undermining GMDÂ’s cause of National Revolution.
  
  CCP accepted it due to persuasion from the Comintern and also because it wanted to use GMD as a base to expand its influence and eventually subvert it from within as a communist bloc.

  There are two united front
  
  First United Front was to get rid of the warlords and unify the country
  
  But it broken down due to death of Sun Yat Sen and the rise of Chiang Kai Shiek as he want to get rid the communists who was posing a threat to him. Launched a massacre against them.
  The Communists retreated to Jiangnan? then KMT went to attack them but was unsuccessful for the first four time but was successful for the fifth time due to the help from a German military advisor.
  This caused the communist to retreat and caused to launch the Long March.
  It lasted almost to 1 year and gained many peasants support along the way.
  They finally settle at Yanan.
  
  Second United Front was to get rid of the Japanese.....
  
  It was due to the 1936 (Xi'an incident) where Zhang Xueliang abducted Chiang and forced him to co-operate with the Communist.
