H2 Physics

  how to do well in H2 Physics? im jc1 this year and got a D for physics in mid-year... now im completely lost in the topic of circular motion.. and my new physics teacher is not competent which my friends agreed on.. need to depend on my own.. some physics pros give me tips?

  must be able to draw free-body diagrams well.
  
  know the different forces acting on an object, then relate all of them using an equation. after that, rearrange the equation to find the unknown.
  
  still got other tips but i shall elaborate about them later.
  
  btw circular motion only a few formulas to rmbr
  
  omega = 2 pi frequency = 2 pi / time perioud
  
  velocity = radius x omega
  
  acceleration = radius x (omega)^2 = (velocity)^2 / radius
  
  force = mass x acceleration

  i dont know about your school but D is actually a pretty respectable grade for the 1st common test.
  
  as far as i know, most schools make their 1st common test really hard. i believe its because they have to select the h3 students. last year about half the cohort failed for my school. this year only 20% passed for the j2 common test.
  
  it may come as a shock to you because you used to do so well for o'levels. but the truth is most jc people dont get their Bs and As in school exams until the a'levels. but rest assured that your promos will be much easier.

  A level Physics very easy one. Its almost like O level Physics. So easy its the same as TYS.

  My physics teacher at A levels wasn't competent either... Everytime ask him questions he cannot answer.

  So I just read up on my borrowed Resnick and Halliday textbook... My Federal physics guide, and the TYS.
  
  In the end still can get award for excellence in A level physics from the institute of physics, singapore

  wow your physics must be very good... care to share some tips on how to get better grades for physics? sometimes im stumped on how to draw the free body diagram on mechanics topics ( especially circular motion )
