Everton manager David Moyes has the utmost confidence in keeper Tim Howard.
The American made a bright start to his loan spell at Everton, but he has come in for criticism in recent weeks due to a number of blunders.
Moyes, though, has not lost confidence in the keeper and has backed him to regain top form.
"There is nothing wrong with Tim Howard's confidence," said Moyes. "He's had some criticism recently but the shots from distance that have gone in have been nothing to do with him, he couldn't have saved any of them.
"His form has not been brought into question by me. He maybe could have done better with a couple of things, but he's played really well this season and if these couple of mistakes of late are the only ones he makes this season then we will be more than happy with him.
"He has performed brilliantly for us, so the odd game when he does not perform at his very best will not change our views on him.
"Some of the goals that have gone in are candidates for goal of the season, so where do you draw the line between supposed mistakes and being beaten by brilliant strikes?"
