Still that Pompey penalty is gonna be the talking point of this match.
Seriously, the replays show nothing.... some shirt tugging by Vidic, perhaps, but the Pompey player didn't go down. Kuszcak's punching of the ball can't really be considered as dangerous play, either.

2 early goals in the second half killed portsmouth hopes. how different it was in the first half when portsmouth threatened to score everytime they go forward.

giggs the creator of both goals, but scholes? he will be sub shortly by fergie. really dunno why he dun want to use anderson in midfield instead of scholes?

Simply put, they have a strong attack along with a weak defence. And they still insist on wanting to buy wingers and strikers when what they really need are good defenders.

yep, he played well, in fact, MU were inviting Pompey to come forward, seemingly to catch them on the counter.
the way, the commentators were raving about Valencia's pace, I almost believe MUFC signed Bolt..
Grant is correct in the sense, Pompey played well, the score is deceiving.

well, this was a tatical game, not a run and grap game. Pompey did well, and almost scored a few times. Just count the number of saves by both keepers.
I think the MF were to provide some cover for the makeshift defence. It seems, United not only have a problem with central but also right back.
Scholes and Carrick while not the best at their position, understand MUFC's game, and the quick one touch.
