How about zero pull-ups? I tried doing some in P.E. class once, and made a complete ass of myself. Worse yet, it was in front of the guys...
?!?!? Unless you're gay (which is ok, it's a personal choice to be respected), I would think it would be worse if it was in front of girls...
eh, i can't do even 1 pull up leh... must start from very basic...
Here's a technique for those struggling to do pull-ups (it was first taught to us by an Army Seargent during BMT, and later I started teaching my secondary school students this technique) :
At the moment of pulling up, jerk your legs/knees upwards towards your
chest. (NOT fully shown in photo).Note that this technique is for the purpose of doing the maximum number of pull ups (eg. when you've maxxed out your capacity, or you're a beginner just struggling to do pull-ups), and is NOT for the purpose of isolating muscles (eg. biceps, lattissimus dorsi, etc) in bodybuilding.
So if you're a beginner in pull-ups still struggling to do your first pull up, go ahead and use this technique to help you gain confidence and workout your pull-up muscles (esp. biceps), until you can do your first 'standard' pull-up (ie. without jerking up your legs/knees).
