My son just dropout from poly cause he says he dosnt understand the subject and wish to continue after his ns could anybody help me if he made the right decision cause i m at a lost as he might not be interested in his course after 2 years of absence ,are there any dropouts out there please share me your experience thanks
Dear Ssirajj, perhaps taking a break from school is a good choice. I am also a polytechnic dropout and understand that sometimes school may be stressful. A change in environment could be helpful. Serve his NS first, after completing his NS, then study again. By the time he's out, he will be more mature and understand the importance of education.
I am glad to see parents here seeking opinions from the community, and certainly I can tell you care a lot for your son. He does not need any reprimand, but care and support. Be supportive of his decision, and he'll do well in future.

P.S. I dropout of my course not because I don't like my school/course, I dropout for personal reasons.
Hi thanks for your reply but my worry is if he will lose interest in studies or could he be cathcing up after 2 years of rest .
I have not reprimanded him and have already sign his poly release form and will support him in his decision thanks for your advice.

By the time he come out from NS, he will be a responsible man. You need not worry about him not being able to catch up with with his studies. A mature learner takes learning more seriously.
My brother is a drop out...
He is finishing his NS soon~
He says he wants to continue studying but i see him making not much effort~
Its their choice... can't force them to study if they don't want to.. Its a waste of time and money! You will have to wait for him to think for himself!

When he's out, encourage him to look for a course that he wish to study. A little encourage goes a long way~
