Hmm need some idea for my project. Appreciate if ppl can gif me some brain storm comments.
What do think of the social implication of online community with regarding to Web 2.0, where everyone start putting up personnel inforrmation on the Net. We used to stay anoymous 10 years ago but as blogs and Facebook become the IN thing, we become author and publish with audience.
Hi,
Interesting topic!
Some points to consider:
1. People want to be seen and read about, for they feel that they are unique.
2. It's easier to make/break friends on the Internet.
3. Personal emotions are not involved, benefitting those who are people-shy.
4. User-friendly web-tools and free platforms are available.
5. It's fashionable to do web.
Thanks!
Cheers,
Wen Shih
Hmm, sounds very familiar to a certain module in SIM.
Anyway, the main social implication is that people tend to forget that everything on the internet is "public". With that,it has become easier to find links and also backstabbers on blogs ... Technically, further explantion of ws point 2 ...
