I would say each have their own merits. Both are established and well recognised universities worldwide anyway.

they've their own areas of niche la
unless it's naval engineering which is none
Go NTU better. Easier to score.

That's true. NUS & NTU is almost a "cheenaland" to me. Haha! And don't worry about the lab work. Because I always believe that after time & practice, you will find your way around them. And if you think you are making the worst mistake of your life with 2 Cs in your sciences, then should I feel disheartened about my 2 Ds in sciences too?
haha. thanks! :)
so are you doing engineering at NTU now? or are you currently a slave to NS? haha.

why easier to score? cos we're competing with people who got in with lousier grades??

it's always what do people want
but it's too generalised if you look at e grade profile

jus apply again lor...
i was offered by both ntu and nus...chose ntu 2 yrs ago...kinda regret now

They offer most engineering course except on e field regarding naval engineering.. Maybe I can say NTU is more sided w/ prac
this naval engineering so far is only offered by NP - Uni of Newcastle (UK) only (and likely to be so since NUS & NTU are not allowed to offer anything similiar anymore)

NTU has marine engineering or something related right? Not too sure since i don't belong to the engineering school

I heard the same thing too. And I don't really know the reason. I'm quoting this from one of my previous threads. It was made by bizzkit0102:
"I heard exam timetables in NTU are generally better spread out than NUS. It's like lets say you take the same number of modules for a similar course in both universities, NTU's exams will tend to spread over 2-3 weeks (unless you screw up by repeating too many subjects) but in NUS, chances are it'll be done and dusted in 1 week. So more stress. There's a saying that goes, in NUS, people ask one another, you get A or B for your subjects. In NTU, it is you got "pao" (repeat) your subject anot?"

U guys, just haven got to see the engine students Timetable.

I believe it's more of a final yr specalisation kind of thing than being a core course
my timetable is a 5-day week, either 0830/0930 to 1530/1630 everyday.
those who want 3-day work week, arts.

This is true. NTU exams are generally spread over 3 weeks so its quite rare to have back to back papers unless you planned it that way. Personally i have exams on 16, 17, 21, 22, 27. Not exactly the best timetable but still some gaps.
NUS exams are all finished in a week so its more stressful studying everything together.
ya lor. everybody monkey say monkey spread.
Spread untruth still dunoe den continue to spread.

huhhh, isnt that bad?
NUS engineering harder to score well. It's actually Chinatown. But there are many nice PRCs around. At least I'm lucky to know the nice(r) ones.
NTU engineering facilities are better generally, I believe. Anyway with TS' grades, you are probably looking at mech eng or EE. Should be impossible to stream into others.
NTU engineering... 0830-1730 thats my regular hours. Damn that 24 AUs
