Hi everyone!
I'd like to brush up on my vector skills in terms of solving long and elaborate questions. I'm okay with the basics. But there are times when I find diffculties in finding the ratio of a triangle over another triangle (eg. area of triangle ABC/area of triangle DEF). Sometimes we must make use of similar triangles and at times, the ratio of the sides.
So please please please if you can, do provide me with such questions. I just found out from my teacher that the questions in the textbook are pretty different from that of the O level's style, which makes it tough to find the relevant questions. And yea, help me out if possible.
Urgent need of such questions because I want to polish up my concepts before the test. (:
;) keep up the effort! This kind of learning attitude should be a model for other student.
Not sure if you have checked out ExamWorld
Sample question copied from there
OABC is a rectangle in which OC = 2x, CB = 2y, and M is the midpoint of AB. OA is produced to D such that 3OA = 2OD and OM is produced to meet BD at N.
(a) Express the following vectors in terms of x and y, giving each answer in its simplest form.
(i) OB,
(ii) OM,
(iii) BD
(b) If BN = α BD and ON = β OM, form an equation connecting α, β, x and y and find the values of α and β.
(c) Hence, find the value of
(i) OM/ON
(ii) area of ΔMDN / area of ΔMDO
(iii) area of ΔOBD / area of trapezium OCBD
buy O level TYS topical.
you can get from Popular, but I recommend to go to Bras Basah complex.
Bras Basah complex has a number of bookstores that are selling treasures! Knowledge bookstore is one of them. Quite cheap and has more varieties to suit your needs. On second floor, there is a bookstore that sells second-hand books (I THINK it is also owned by Knowledge bookstore). The older TYS contains tougher qns..not forgetting ultra cheap.. I saw $4..
Have FUN!

Mr Wee, do u hv any topical materials for A maths?
I have a student whom is not allocated any A maths classes in his school because his sec 2 results weren't that good. However, he's in this scheme where he's allowed to take A maths exams with the school, both EOY and next year prelims and O levels on a self-study basis. Feel that he's not slow; in fact he has potential to get at least A2 or even A1.
Thanks.
