  OXZY is a parallelogram in which OX-> = p and OY -> = q. N is a point on YZ such that it divides YZ into ratio 2:3/

   

  Find the area of triangle XMZ / area of MNYO. Answer: 15/31.. I go try the question out and will post my workings soon. Have some difficulties doing this so do help! thanks!

  hi , let me give you a hint. You probably need to find out the area of the 3 triangles first. then minus off from the total area to find the remaining area( the weird shape mnyo).

  another hint: use the concept of similar triangles.

  WIll be challenging but you can do it with the hints : )

  My tutees used to have a lot of trouble with this...
