Dishonest tutor

  I have encountered tutor who backed out last minute on tuition assignment giving weird excuses like going hospital , grandma giving birth ..

  Seriously i think this malpractice must not continue .

  If the tutor wish to turn down , just simply tell me 1 day in advance

  and i find another tutor

   

  i really cannot understand why tutor would resort to giving excuses and refuse to answer phonecall[10 calls and no reply,not even sms]

  This show the upbringing of the tutor

  Very Soon i will post on the sgforum to MARK those errant tutor

  Want to get good tuition offer but shirking responsibility at existing one.Its simply so good.

  Wait till the Singapore 40 tuition agency blacklist you ,then your ricebowl is gone

  As long as they can commit there is no wrong with errant tutors. This is my personal opinion.

  This thread reminds me of troublesome tutees....

  Some tutees of mine give silly excuses like not feeling well last min... or their teacher ask him to stay back in school.. not replying sms only after 4 days...

  Worse excuse is ' my mother bringing me to temple..'

  and some of them do not want to have a fixed day for tuition... when they need me den they call me...

  argh...

  i've seen bad practices from both tutors and tutees but this kind of malpractice can be seen in all walks of life, not just tuition... bo bian

  My sch student was telling me

   

  Student: "Cher, I have POA tuition which cost $xxx(over market price), and what he saying I don't understand. I just hate going to his tuition. It's just because he's a grad, and he charged so much".

  Student: "Cher, how much you charge when you're teaching outside?"

  Me: "$x"
  
  Student: " o.O"" stunned down there for a while.
  
  Me: "Don't ask your parents to find me, I can't tutor students from the same school. but I can help you along if you have any doubts to clarify."

  this is trival man..

  i got tutor who come my house steal things before... i actually paid him to come my house to steal..wth    and take note that tutor name is chris a graduate from srjc..

  my stand is very simple as a tuition agency

  if you really cannot take the assignment due to personal reason or pricing

  please talk to me .. and i see if i can help

  but to lie to me and not answering phonecall is not getting you anywhere

  u mean to say all 40 top tuition agency , u can play them out and no one just shoot ur name out ?

   

  ya ... i also know some tutee is getting out of hand

  I also have one tutee 3 yrs back

  a rich man son who always find excuse not to have chinese tuition as both parent is always not at home.. working oversea .. business ppl always so busy .

  can say .. diarrhoea

  or school staying back [the tuition is at 8pm]

  and i cannot collect my tuition fee at the 8th lesson [becos its always delayed ]

  and i talk to the maid .. the maid doesnt seem to get to the parent

  all this drag on for 2 month until i cannot stand it .. my resources dry up.. i have to play the nasty game
