I think the most important thing is to excel. I have to admit that countries like India and China are dumping many excellent engineers into the global workforce every year...you need something special to compete with them...not just in electrical eng.
But I think an electrical eng degree is pretty safe. 1) The foundation training of almost all NTU NUS engineer is very rigorous. The analytical skills you develop is priceless and it is pretty common for engineers to be hired in banking/management. 2) Good grounding in physics and maths ...can teach both subjects in MOE schools. 3) Any damned engineering projects needs electrical engineers.

Personally I'm the bottom percentile of my course in terms of A levels...I was amazed that I could get in.
Ok. Hmm... I'll see what I can do. I have another question: you got in straight to ISE or you went in through Common Eng? Is it a lot tougher to get into ISE through Common Eng due to competition, etc.?
Btw, many thanks! Very much appreciated! =D

Got in straight. It should be pretty hard to get in from Common eng...actually most of them have to end up in mech or electrical....chemical/ise harder

Wow... From the Indicative Grade Profile found on NUS, it seems that even the 10th percentile of ISE is AAA/A. Hmm... Maybe I would try the other engineerings in NUS... Many thanks for your advice! =D
i have got A for my H2 MATH,H2 CHEM,H2 BIO and PW. BUT i got UNGRADED for GP! Does that mean that i cant get into ntu/nus alr?
