i applied to enter rp via DAE.
how often is it that ppl who do not meet entry requirements actually get into the school?are there a few in your class? i've friends who are in rp, and in their classes, they do have classmates who got F9 for both maths and science, how is this possible?
i've heard of conditional admission.
how actually does it works? do i have to approach them of a possible conditional admission or they will offer me?
regarding DAE chances, are there normally high or slim chances that a person who doesnt meet entry requirment to be accepted by the school?
& if DAE results fail to be in my favour, is that anyway i can change it? like appeal or something?
i tried calling RP to ask, but they die also don wan tell me anything, just keep asking me to wait for DAE results.
i really need ppl in RP to enlighten me, pls and thanks alot. -
They most probably need to retake their O's and will be removed if they do not pass.
You can always write in to appeal and you would most probably get a place if someone gave up their place in the polytechnic. but you most probably get in after semester just started

I'm a RP student.
Very often and high chances that students who didn't meet the minimum requirement for entry and apply for RP will still get in. It depend on the course that they want to DAE to. Usually they'll get the least popular course like Sport Sciences course.
For the conditional admission, I myself haven't really hear anything about it. Even my peers who got D7 E8 in maths/sci still managed to get into a course, without any need for them to retake.Perhaps the other four poly takes the Conditional Admission more seriously. If your DAE fails, chances are very low that you'll be given another chances. But fred not, because you still can personally go to RP to try your luck.
If the school don't offer you, you'll have to ask yourself. ;) leave no stone unturn, try all possible means.

i applied for :Communication and Information Design - 1st choice
Technology & Art Management - 2nd choice
Design for Interactivity - 3rd choice
Business Information Systems - 4th choice
Micro & Nanotechnology - 5th choiceAlmost all 5 choices are courses of the COP 26, which i failed to hit by 3, i got 29.
BUT i failed to meet any of these courses entry requirements.when choosing this courses, i took in mind that i DO NOT choose something to do with science OR it does not require science (because my sci got F9, and i thought it wont have much chances if i choose a course that requires science)
so can i ask how high or low are my chances of getting into any of the courses?
if cant get in, i think i will go crazy man

earlier dont want to study hard n study smart, now no horse run... limited choices n limited places... now regret right... dont blame anyone, blame urself, u r the one taking the exams, not others...
if still cant get in, just retake or go private schools liao... realli... what other choices u have...

Technology & Art Management - Very Low
Design for Interactivity - Very Low
Business Information System - Low
Micro & Nanotechnology - Quite alright.I suggest you reading up more about the engineering course.
Even if you can't get any course at the DAE, you still can try calling the school to see whether if they have remaining vacancy for that course. I've heard about such cases where the school will offer the course to student even they didn't meet the MER.
Perhaps you could re consider your choices again.
Here are some course which might have higher chances for you go get into.
1) Sports sciences course(R27, R26 )
2) Engineering course (R21, R11,
3) IT Course (R12,If you rearrange the above order, most likely you will get into Engineering course, IT course, and Sport Sciences Course.
But don't worry dear, retaking O level isn't a bad thingy. I've seen many people who retook their O level and get into a poly after that. You'll still be able to defer your NS until you got your dip.

dae results normally don come out like JAE one.
not everyone's dae results come out at the same time, hopeless ones normally they reject faster
