where m is a variable

the meaning of $6m, is it the same as $(6m)?

usually bracket () means negative/minus.
My opinion is.. since the 6 is attached to the 'm', then it shall be the same bah. Let's hear from others first. :-X

$6(m) or $(6)m is different.
$ cannot be multiplied by a number. However, 1 number and an algebraic letter can multiply.

I think it means negative/minus in accounting, not in maths

Hopefully, you won't take as long to find away to do this problem as it took the tortoise. There are several approaches to this problem. Finding out how many kilometres an hour the tortoise travelled at is a very good starting point for comparing the speeds and time taken to cover the course by the two animals.

Haha, my Maths paper give you Cars and Motorcycles.The infamous guess and check questions (I'm referring to above) which people hates as tables need to be drawn but there is a method that can solve in at least 3 steps.

Using algebra shldn't be hard or use the lame trial and error method that i used to learn in pri sch... Waste us so much time when sec sch learn algebra and everything can be solved quickly.
