requirements to be successfully promoted to JC2

  As we all know,for sec sch, we had to pass our english and total overall pass in all subjects to be promoted. May i know what are the requirements to be promoted to Jc2? And does having a good cca important for uni admission?

  Personally, I don't think CCA is important for university admission. Not even for poly since year 2001.

  Just excel academically if you only want to enter safely into a good course in uni.

  And just pass all your H1 and H2 subjects to promote to JC2.

  ask your JC teachers. like duh.... How hard is it to ask your teacher questions? Why can't you guys ask the source direct? If you can't even ask your teacher questions like this, how can you function in society?

  I have a JC friend who fail his H1 General Paper, and he is still promoted to JC2, with the requirement to pass his General Paper within a few months time, which I have forgot the exact dates he told me.

   

  Anyway, why would you want to fail your subjects since you have gone so far into JC?

  To be precautious, pass all your subjects, it is a test before you face your ‘A' levels.

  there are some guidelines for promotion, what 2H2 and 1 HI pass, or sub-pass thingy...(which is S grade)... this information should be easily obtained in school or in MOE website. I'm sure teachers would be glad to give the info to you if you need it.. however sometimes schools also close 3 eyes, give you probational promotion, with certain requirements to meet in the second year...

  i think is 2 H2 passes and either H1 GP pass or H1 content-based subject pass
