  hi, gunner77, do you have any specimen questions for poa code 7092 ? coz it's quite

  different from POA code 7118  especially paper 1. I'm a private candidate who

  is learning POA code 7092 this year from malaysia. My school doesn't have any

  specimen paper  or past year paper for POA code 7092. How far the structured

  question in paper 1 different from structured questions in paper 2? Could u give me

  some types of questions for Paper 1 and paper 2?

  code 7092

  paper 1---> 4 structured questions ( all must do)

  paper 2---> section A--> 4 questions ( all must do)

                       section B--> 2 questions( choose one only)

  paper 1 the structured question can be easily done within 1 hour.

  paper 2 the structured quesion are those that need to do alot of workings and calculation follow by parts where there are theory questions.

  last year the new syllabus started.

  i dont have the question paper for paper 1

  but i have the questions for paper 2

  ic,no theory or defination of accounting terms  being asked for questions in paper 1?

  another question is the final accounts should be done using vertical format or

  horizontal format or both be accepted?

  could u email  the questions for paper 2 to me? if ok, then i tell you my email address.

  here is one question from section A

  Mina Kaur's financial year ends on 31 march. she has provided the following information relating to her debtors for the years 2006, 2007 and 2008.

  bad debts to be                    $ 700                      $810                         $ 540
  written off

  On 31 march 2006, it was decided to create a provision for doubtful debts at 4% of the outstanding debtors. This is to be maintained at 4% of the debtors at the end of the year.

  REQUIRED

  (a) prepare the provision for doubtful debts account for each of the years ended 31 march 2006, 2007 and 2008. [5]

  (b) state the amount of the net debtors that would appear in the balance sheet at 31 march 2006, 2007 and 2008 [3]

  (c) explain two reasons why mina kaur should calculate an annual provision for doubtful debts. [4]

  (d) state the effect creating a provision for doubtful debts will have on mina kaur's cash balance. [2]

  Total : 14 marks.

  there will also be theory or defination of accounting terms in paper 1

  but not as much as paper 2.

  i guess both format are accepted? im not too sure about this.
