I need help for this question, only for the blanks in question marks. Somehow, there appears to be missing information in the question. The answer is 5/6 and 1/6. Thanks.
When Cedric leaves for school in the morning, he may bring his raincoat along. The tree diagram below shows the possible outcomes and some of their probabilities.
Can't draw the diagram, but I will describe it for you exactly the way it is.
The probability of the weather being dry is 3/4 and 1/4 for it being wet. There is a 2/5 chance of him bringing raincoat on dry weather and 3/5 chance for him to not bring. Find the probability of him bringing raincoat and not bringing it during wet weather.
*Note : there is a 5/6 chance of him bringing and 1/6 of him not bringing raincoat during wet weather. How do I get these 2 values?
Theres probably missing informations on the question. But i may be wrong.
Ya lor. Something seems wrong. Or I'm stupid. =X
there sure is missing info, especially on the wet weather side...
something is wrong with the question... if not, i am able to answer it

you have to draw it out using paintbrush and show us thru photobucket
i believe something is lost ... ..
Probability of this kind is a mutually exclusive event..
Raining or not have no effect on the decision to bring raincoat
the answer could be wrong ... as wat i have learnt in probability tree
syncopation_music, there is effect on the decision to bring raincoat when it is dry or wet weather. Its not the anwser which is wrong. It could be the question itself which is wrong. But, again, i may be wrong :D
i tink there are missing info in d qn..

This is what I think so too. Due to:
